Thank god I was dreading it being alone for the first year without my mam and dad. Luckily I got the opportunity to help out with a charity that gave out dinners to elderly people and that passed 4hrs. An now here I am again alone feels so strange but I'm actually delighted what I done today. And I know my mam and dad are proud of me. So I think I'll hit the bed and try too actually get into Tesco's tomorrow unlike Xmas Eve lol not a chance

Dunboyne

Very quiet one with just immediate family. Went well, first time ever dinner was on time and it was delicious. Kids seemed to appreciate presents more and we hadn't gone mad so a very pleasant one, strangely.

Not everyone thinks that alot are well aware its the hardest time of the yr for many ppl.. I see that first hand as I've helped out with homeless charities for the past few yrs.. but I'm a firm believer in there is a positive in every negitive situation and it can be a small as a smile from someone. We need to focus on the small things to help us through the toughest of times...

well said. I'm sure most are aware it's tough on some people this time of year can be very hard. It's the small things that help a lot at times.

Having heard this week of the deaths of two classmates from school and college, I'm happy to be alive and well today
