If it's an Irish Whiskey you're talking about then either Jamiesons or Power Gold If it's Scottish(like me) then I have a bottle of Old Pulteney 25yr Old which is just wonderful with just one ice cube...

Really enjoying Roe and Co from Diageo and it's on offer in Tesco at moment reduced to €25 from €45.

I also got a lovely Dubliner Honey Comb whiskey off the delectable Isserly Jones for my birthday. Just like her it goes down well

Jameson Crested is pretty tasty as well and I've just treated myself to a limited edition Muff Whiskey for my Christmas present.

Whiskey taste is broad and varied. There really is something to suit everyone! If you get the chance Bushmills 21 is a lovely whiskey for a special occasion. But redbreast is a personal favourite for an occasional sip x

Gonna spoil the Irish party a little here but, when it comes to single malts, Glenmorangie 10yr old is up there with the greats.

If you're spending a little more, weirdly, the 19yr old can be found cheaper than the 18yr old!

Both are gorgeous but the 19yr old is a better one.

If you like it a little sweet, they did a Milsean which is gorgeous but hard to find at respectable prices.

Currently they have a new Tale of Cake which looks interesting but £90 a bottle!

Weekdays or not watching a movie, Black Bush or Jameson. I find that when I get older or more aged Irish whiskeys I tend to dislike them strangely, whereas a straight Jameson/ Bush i enjoy.

Yes the Glenmorangie is expensive but, when a wee double can last me through a whole movie, not really.

I’m a Jameson man at heart. I love their cask strength range. They would be my regular drink. Redbreast 12 is a lovely special occasion bottle. Writers Tears copper pot is a super whiskey for occasions too.

Top shelf in my opinion is green spot.

It's actually really easy to beat Jameson. Try Oban 14, or Ardmore Legacy. Whisky is an area where the Scottish have us totally beaten.

Drinking Southern Comfort a LONG time. Always thought it was a Bourbon, but I've been educated here. It is a liqueur with a whiskey base. Now also enjoying Jameson and Tullamore dew. Want to try a lot more.

Be careful with Jim Beam.

It's very easy to drink neat!

A bottle wouldn't last 2 days here. Try Jim Beam Black if you like a stronger, slightly smokey flavour. Very nice and harder to polish off quickly

Tried a few in airport once, when they were doing a promo.

Perhaps it was wrong setting but I found them a touch overpriced for their taste/flavour. Was disappointed, as I'd heard a lot about them at the time.

Maybe I'll try again.
