"Black Bush usually, Jameson Midleton Very Rare having 3 bottles (got on my 45th birthday) and for cooking and baking using Slane, Sexton or Teeling " Oh such a sly slag off of the last three I actually enjoyed a bottle of Slane recently. Found it very easy to drink and enjoy. Nice combination of flavours. Bottle didn't last a week. Must get another soon

"Hard to beat Jameson " It's actually really easy to beat Jameson. Try Oban 14, or Ardmore Legacy. Whisky is an area where the Scottish have us totally beaten.

"Really enjoying Roe and Co from Diageo and it's on offer in Tesco at moment reduced to €25 from €45. I also got a lovely Dubliner Honey Comb whiskey off the delectable Isserly Jones for my birthday. Just like her it goes down well Jameson Crested is pretty tasty as well and I've just treated myself to a limited edition Muff Whiskey for my Christmas present." I knew you'd be on this thread xxx

"Drinking Southern Comfort a LONG time. Always thought it was a Bourbon, but I've been educated here. It is a liqueur with a whiskey base. Now also enjoying Jameson and Tullamore dew. Want to try a lot more. Maybe we need to start a sub group of whiskey drinking swingers who share their favourite whiskey and their partner !!!" Great idea. Bring a whole new meaning to a bottle share.

"I’m now going to have to grab a bottle of whiskey tomorrow (maybe Jim Beam) and I’m blaming all you folks for firmly incepting that idea " Be careful with Jim Beam. It's very easy to drink neat! A bottle wouldn't last 2 days here. Try Jim Beam Black if you like a stronger, slightly smokey flavour. Very nice and harder to polish off quickly

"Teelings single grain is so sweet perfect for sipping " Tried a few in airport once, when they were doing a promo. Perhaps it was wrong setting but I found them a touch overpriced for their taste/flavour. Was disappointed, as I'd heard a lot about them at the time. Maybe I'll try again.
