Hey, I’ve just booked flights to Belfast in the summer for the hubby’s birthday. Would love some advice on where’s best to stay and things to do?

Are there any clubs?

Anyone fancy being our sexy tour guides? xx

My recommendation would be staying somewhere central (look near city hall) because you can walk essentially everywhere!

In terms of clubs, depends what type of club you mean! There are some decent bars/nightclubs (obviously depending on covid) and some nice fancy restaurants/bars if that’s more you’re style.

Please do shoot me a message if I can help!

There's a few lovely spots on Botanic Ave. House for cocktails & Scalini's if you like Italian food.

City Centre, Dublin

Belfast is a good spot for a weekend, plenty of nice bars and restaurants to suit all tastes

To be honest you can’t go wrong if ye stay in and around the cathedral quarter, it’s the main nightlife hub

The Duke of York, Spaniard and Kelly’s are good bars

Tourist stuff wise the Black taxi tours and titanic are the two main ones

Restaurant wise depends how much ye want to spend and how fancy you want to go

Agree - cathedral quarter is great!

No swinging clubs that I’m aware of anywhere in NI, but happy to be corrected

I think most stuff has been covered already. But yeah, if you're in city centre you can basically walk anywhere. I'd recommend stopping by Muriel's bar for a drink as it's a great wee spot.

Nearby

For hotel I’d recommend the Europa It’s central near shops etc and if you fly into International you can get an airport bus to right beside it. So no hauling bags around and cheaper than taxis.

Lots of great bars. As others have said I’d recommend heading to Cathedral Qtr for the bars. EattingI’d try Cafe Parisien (great views of city hall), Sticks and Stones or Six by Nico. All good restaurants. City is so small you can walk to most places.

No swinging clubs but worth checking out Union St Bar it’s about as bohemian a bar as you could ask for really.

Have fun and talk to anyone you meet you will be surprised how friendly everyone is.

As others have said no swingers clubs in Belfast, Also agree best place to stay would be the cathedral quarter handy for the union bar , maverick and the Kremlin night club all gay/lesbian hangouts, Ramada encore is very handy for them and a lot of good bars and restaurants close bye, an other good hotel with live music most nights would be Benedicts at Bradbury place, its more in the city Center ,lots of bars and restaurants close bye as well . Definitely love to chat more and get a better idea of what you might like and be able to get you some where that’s suits you and your idea of a good night out

It really depends on now the pandemic affects things as there could be bar closures etc but you can never go wrong with a night in the cathedral quarter.

We live quite central in Belfast, so feel free to message us if you need any help.

Can't recommend the Ramada in Belfast City centre enough, we stayed there for 2 nights a short while ago...

The staff, food, location spot on!

The one piece of advice we can give you is to make Sure to book a table well in advance, we unfortunately didn't and queued for at least 45 minutes to get in anywhere we went,,,, lesson learnt lol

If you do decide to book the Ramada you'll be within walking distance of the happing spots.

Hope ye have a fantastic time

Belfast

You will have to book all of your reservations well in advance as everything is way too full for any walk ins at any point.

There will be no mingling inside, outside or in smoking areas you'll be okay.

There is no music pretty much anywhere. No live music, no ambient music. Silence.

You will have to wear your mask to use the bathroom too. Nobody cares is if you reuse the same one 20+ times, just put it on your face every time you stand up.

Just a little heads up on a jolly night out in Belfast these days.

P.S. If you decide to invite anyone to your hotel room - there will most likely be an issue.

If you will decide to have a few drinks with anyone in a hotel bar - there will also be an issue.

"Hey suppose to be going here end of the month, are there any restrictions or guidance? Do you have to book places in advance… will be there bank holiday weekend should anyone be around also"

You'll find guidance on all current restrictions here

https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles/coronavirus-covid-19-regulations-and-guidance-what-they-mean-you

Re booking in advance, it's very much down to the individual establishment, and while not required under the guidance a few places are still operating a bookings only system. However with restricted numbers and social distancing still in place be prepared that you may have to queue

I'm just back from there, more relaxed up there, they do take you name and number is some pubs, restaurants didn't bother, it's nearly like back to normal there, there was a limit in the hotel bar but this was only reached on Saturday night so just went to a bar across the road, I don't know why I have been there before amazing city
