Who is your favourite intellectual/scientist or maybe even spiritual figure ?

As a previous thread suggested Christopher Hitchens would get the nod for me .

Other notable people I take inspiration from in different ways would be Carl Sagan, Richard Feynman, Sam Harris and Richard Dawkins to some degree.

Who do you take inspiration from ?

Oh mate he’s so annoying the way he speaks. It’s like he’s speaking poetically and I was never a fan of poetry. Ha

Except he's not nor ever has been a self made Billionaire

He got over $400 million from his dad starting out

Has screwed over literally hundreds of contractors for millions of dollars

Has bankrupted himself a few times to get out of paying millions to other businesses

Self made ? Don’t you mean inheritance from his grandparents and parents?

I love listening to Russell but I don't think the language he uses is accessible for many . I think he is a bit of a whirlwind and although I love listening to his content I could see why it would be hard for some to reasonate with . Personally , I adore his ability to articulate and can at times pause and go to a dictionary to reference what he says and to build my own knowledge but not everyone is like that

Great choice though!!

I would say start off with his channel and if any vdeo stands out for you or has relevance, do watch:

https://www.youtube.com/c/GreggBradenOfficial/videos

My favourite book of his is THE DIVINE MATRIX and what I like about him is his conversational approach to writing and how he integrates the wisdom of many ancient traditions and texts with the latest scientific findings. He's just so uplifting especially in these times

Carl Sagan, Sam Harris, Jordan Petersonis two I've been watching alot of lately. Don't fully agree with them but their views are definitely insightful.

There was some journalists I liked , they were independent but adapted to their paying audience.

Started reading up on Greek philosopher but few I've latched on to yet.
