Mick odwyer took over wicklow . .

Dont see any problem with it

If louth co board think hecan improve the game in the county .. fair play to them

Atleast they are trying

No likethe restof leinster counties . All they do is moan about dublin..

Fairplay louth for trying to improve .

Dublin

They will look to progress up the leagues and in doing so increase the standard of competition they face.Leinster is a joke of a provincial championship anyhow so they will be looking at avoiding Dublin if the draws are kind and possibly ge to a Leinster final, beaten by Dublin but back in the back door and a chance to rattle a larger team.Who knows.None of us thought Cavan and Tipperary would be in the Semi finals this year.Fair play to Louth.

Taking over the seniors and U20's, is bound to give the players and county a lift.

Progress in the National League is bound to be the number one target and a decent run in the Championship.

Great coup for Louth and should defo motivate the players at all levels. Best of luck to him.

He'll probably advance Louth a little bit, but not very much at all if you ask me. When Tyrone won their titles they had some marquee forwards and at least one of the best midfielders and wing backs in the country. They also had the best centre of excellence in the country to make Tyne most of whatever talent was coming through. Louth don't have that luxury.

As for Mickey Harte's tactical ability, well that was shown up fairly drastically in the 2018 final when Tyrone came out after half time and insisted on attempting to defend a four point deficit.

Having said that, I'd wish him the best of luck and maybe he'll repeat the glory of 1957 for Louth. He can't do them any harm at least.

Kildare laois and wicklow mick odwyer.

Westmeath ..paudie oshea .

They paid those 2managers a fortune back in the day plus car free for travel. Both got teamsto win leinster championship .... so it can work ..

Laois, Westmeath and Kildare had all had a fair bit of underage success up to the point where they brought in the high profile manager. Louth don't have that going for them so it'll certainly be interesting what results he gets, even if it's not very interesting for spectators.

There is a lot of talk locally about the u-20 team coming through in louth.. Supposedly has some good talent.. There never was a shortage of good footballers in louth.. Their primary focus is on winning the county championship with their local teams as there is fierce rivalry there so the county team always took a back foot.. Hopefully this new appointment with motivate the players to want to play competitively for their county and that's all they are lacking is motivation..
