Hi does anyone know of anywhere in and around belfast that is doing discounted accommodation for essential workers i have to work over christmas at a nursing home in belfast and i have no way of getting home as there is no public transport i live in craigavon so was looking for somewhere to stay from christmas eve until boxing day

Not really what you asked, but download the Revenue App, and you can claim 20% back on hotel expenses in the Staycation tax incentive thingy

Oh. I thought you were just traveling to the north, but from down here.

You could probably take a photo of a receipt from anywhere and upload it, and they wouldnt know what country it was taken in

I'm sure there still are some who are. I can't remember the ones that had it up before that they were offering cheaper rates. You'll probably have to ring about or get a blue light card you can get discounts with that in lots of places including hotels.

Ye you still qualify . As long as you are an essential worker care assistants etc even non trust ones can get a card. It's handy for discounts.

Some Premier Inns have rooms for £29...dunno if that applies for the time span you are intending to work
