What was your favourite Halloween costume as a child?

Did you wear your ninja turtle outfit all week long?

Did the older girl up the streets Elvira costume unlock something within you?

Answers on a post card.

Didn't have one. I've never worn fancy dress for Halloween or any other occasion.

Somewhere in Co. Down

The only one I can remember was a ghost one mainly because I took one of my bed sheets and cut 2 holes in it for my eyes and wore that out one year. Must say mum wasn't impressed when I went back home tho.

My wee brother & cousin went to the BB Halloween party dressed as Russ Abbott & a punk rocker but they were a week early. My uncle had to say were going to a party after & had no time to get dressed afterwards . We still laugh about it & that was about 30 odd years ago

the black sack was out, a mask that was probably 50p and the witches hat.

Now my kids want something that looks like its out of a horror film and costs as much

It wasn't a thing back then. There was no such thing as trick or treating either. No fireworks either as they were banned up here. The odd bonfire and ducking for apples was about it.

Myself and 3 the brothers actually did trick or treat as the 4 ninja turtles.

We were obsessed.

Waterford

Black bin liner and soot to darken the face.

I once dressed up as Freddy Krueger. I had a cheap goalkeeper glove with ice lolly sticks covered in tin foil as his claw.

Seem to dress up more as an adult...more than I ever did as a kid...black bag and balling twine back in the day
