"Was that for a swing party??!"

No, there were 6-8 people having a normal party. Could you imagine the police walking in on a swing party! Doesn't bear thinking about lol

Passed through several checkpoints yesterday on way to family funeral. Have to sathe guards were very polite as I was to them. If you treat them right and have good attitude, it helps.

There should be a few more dished out. Stuck in this endless cycle, and no matter what measures or restrictions are imposed, nothing will change until people start exercising a bit of personal & social responsibility.

Virus gonna virus.Nothing will change until there is a vaccine - and even then, that may only do some good in the short term

If you're thick enough to ignore all the previous restrictions and warnings and are still laughing in the face of the second wave then you deserve to be fined. The more touts and fines the better.

That as may be, but it really doesn't take an awful lot of self restraint to not have house parties in the current climate

Gas how the Guard managed to do this even though the legislation to impose these fines hasn't been enacted yet. Almost as if this isn't true at all.

It was only passed by the dáil and the seanad last Friday so I doubt very much it's at the enforcement stage yet

That sounds very strange and unbeleiveable as it did not make the front pages of the paper or the main evening news, As far as I am aware nobody has got fined yet, not even the muppets protesting in Dublin. Is this one of Trumps fake news stories.
