You have had the social met & moved on to the 1st fun meet, so do you bring a gift or arrive 1 hand longer than the other.

I wouldnt visit a friends house without bringing some wine, so if meeting a lady or a couple I would normally bring wine & some chocolate.

I wouldnt bring flowers as thst I feel is a romantic jesters and Fab is not about romance.

So guys & ladies what would you bring

99% of my meets have come empty handed which I never really mind. But when they do bring something it gets them maaaaaaajor brownie points. So I think you're onto a good strategy OP.

I was meeting a girl for the first time and just going for a walk in a park during the daytime. As we were both driving there separately and to break the ice i bought

https://www.qdstores.co.uk/products/white-impressions-toilet-tissue-pack-of-12.html

That way I got more than the usual 'you only get one first impression' in fact I got 9 and 3 free!!

My Father has a saying "Never arrive to someones home with one hand longer than the other" so I would always bring something like wine or biscuits or flowers. If someone is gracious enough to welcome you into their home you should be gracious enough to bring a small token of appreciation.

Turf is as good a gift as any Rosebush

I can tell from that that we may be only the same silly sense of humour level. But it went down well and that was exactly the plan.We both had a laugh at it and it eased her nerves/butterflies straight away. I take my messing very seriously

I'm the same Rosy. That lesson was beaten into me from a very young age.

That's if invited to their house, I certainly wouldn't expect a man to bring anything but condoms and a good attitude to a hotel meet.

Somewhere in Co. Down

I've never had a gift off a first meet and neither have I ever brought one with me either. I don't think I'd want one either a first meet is to see if we get on or not.

The only thing I'd expect any guy to bring with him anytime is condoms but sometimes even that is not guaranteed it seems. Luckily I have them with me just in case which has been a good call more than once.

Literally never leave my house for meets but it's lovely when a guy brings something, I've had guys bring wine or chocolate before! It's truly not necessary though, just a nice touch.

I met this beautiful lady for a social meet in a beautiful quite pub but in chatting way earlier before the meet in conversation one night l asked her her favourite wine,so at the end of the meet that night just before she left in her car l gave her the bottle of wine to which she was delighted and most grateful for,it took her by surprise as she said usually gifts are given when a person would meet and not leaving for home so as she didn't receive it earlier when she did receive it before she left it added to the night and said it was a lovely touch.
