Started a new Netflix one last night called “to the lake”

Russian dubbed with the main star from “better than us” (another great Netflix show).

To the lake is about an epidemic of a virus that hits Moscow and surviving the fallout of it. Great first episode.

I got my dad onto my netflix account during the lockdown

He's never watched boxsets just movies

He rang me during the week to tell me he'd finished it but the only problem was he was sitting up half the night watching yet another episode

Mrs Brown's Boys is one of the greatest works to grace or televisions in modern times. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a high IQ most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Mrs Brown's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterisation- her personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Mrs Brown's Boys truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Mrs Brown's existential catchphrases, which often draws reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Brendan O'Carrol's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.
