Here's an idea for when the restrictions are lifted.

Kind of like a meet and greet but in pods ( groups of people).

We pick a bar we pick a mid week night ( this we bring in more money on a night for them that might not normally be busy)

Each pod will have 2 or 3 cold and a few male and female singles

Each pod will have their own chat group before hand.

So basically it will be a few mini meet and greets going on on the same night in the same place. But easier to keep track and trace etc.

Now this won't happen until the boozers are open again

What do people think ?

Once we are back to level 2 then I think pods of 6 would be allowed... The difficulty would probably be stopping the intermingling of people from different pods. Once folks saw a hottie in a different pod it might be tricky to keep em apart.

Also as an event with the organiser it brings some responsibility on them to enforce the rules.. if it ended up as a spreader-event then there may be some fingers pointed.

The solution may be to have the m&g social on a county by county basis, a kik group for each county could organise time, date & location...& you can only go to the m&g within your county.

If numbers allow it may be possible to organise in age brackets...under 45 & over 45...

A pod of 6 may be 2 couples, 1 single male & 1 single female .

Smoking area for meeting people in the other pod

I know but it would be easier to get a few tables in a pub mid week than on a Saturday night.

The other way would be a hotel take over

True, well we hope it goes well for you should it go ahead x and maybe in the future we can take over a hotel
