Define treating you like shit?

Possibly look into reporting to hr or filing a grievance

Not going down the hr route, not worth the fall back..

Making his car smell is good though

Perhaps they are under pressure or struggling at the moment. Is there anything you can do to improve the situation rather that escalating the problems.

Sometimes speaking to someone directly is the easiest fix.

If you have tried all that as others have said report to HR

Tried all that.

I'd prefer to pass him off now, I'd get more outta that than going to hr, might sound petty but he has being doing my head in.

I do agree, it will probably end up going down that road, just want to annoy him first as payback

OP, you havent actually said how or why he is pissing you off. Always two sides to a story so as some posters have said maybe try see his side before taking a course that could cost your job.

If you’re having struggles with your manager, it’s more likely due to lack of effective communication and clear expectations from Manager/direct. Talking directly to your Manager, being constructive and transparent, will help you understand that disconnect and how you can resolve it.

If you keep thinking on your own, you will create a greater gap with assumptions, perhaps even being personal (which is what I’m getting from your posts here). If your manager isn’t taking the step to approach you to resolve/explain, you take lead on it. HR escalations requires tangible proof of misconduct/behaviour to investigate and if you choose to pursue that route, showing that you have tried to proactively resolve those differences/challenges with your manager, will only strengthen any HR escalation you proceed with.

Best of luck and I hope you can resolve your work challenges in an appropriate manner

To be honest it's a job and you're an adult wanting doing things to annoy him that just first reeks of immaturity. Maybe actually act like an adult and talk to them or just put your head down and do your job instead of looking for ways to annoy him. Doing that stuff the only one losing out will be you in the end.

Not easy to deal with, but Guys like that only have as much power as you give them. That doesn't mean you're weak, just a nice guy. Play it smart, find flaws in his decision making, undermine him in front of his superiors etc. Set him up for a fall if needs be! Or go the other way and tell I'm to lay off, that you want to help him hit goals/ targets etc but let's try to work as a team. (Maybe this only works in Carlsberg land) lol

If it's any consolation it's usually a sign they have much bigger personal problems.

Ps I love the prawns idea

Ever eaten wasabi chocolate? It's real, and it's the vilest thing known to man.

I once offered it to a manager I had issues with. Watching him grapple with the dilemma of having to spit it out and offend me, or actually swallow it was the greatest monent of my life...

Don't mind all that constructive "advice" OP.. we all know there is only one option

Next time he's chewing you out drop into a full Van Damme split and fire a right cross straight to the dick

You're colleagues will love you and you'll probably get the ride out of it

Arrange a white collar boxing match for charity then arrange to fight him .. Win win for you all.

Pros.

Look good for doing charity work

. Get to fight the boss

. Solve your problem

Cons.

He might slap the head of you. Lol

"Was thinking the same

Maybe solve the problem he has "

So true

He never told his story why he’s being targeted

As a Manager myself I’d rather you come and talk to me and sort out our differences , see what the problem is!!!!

I’ve been wrong with decisions in my job and had to bite the bullet and hold up my hands and apologise

Nothing that can’t be sorted by communicating

Don’t do that obviously, if you like the job and want to keep it then play the long game. Take a note of every incident and anything said and then if it continues to get worse take it to HR. You’ll have a lot more leverage against him if you have notes

How about you try and resolve whatever issues you have by asking for a meeting? As someone said above, being a manager I'd rather sort things out with people I'm working. It sounds like you're probably both being petty, I say you as well considering your looking for advice on how to piss him off. You're both grown men, act like it.
