What's the story with Winking?

I rarely wink at anyone here and usually only wink when someone has winked to me. But there's a couple on here who keep winking but everytime I message them back, they just leave me on read. Only for the couple to wink at me again. Has anyone experienced this?

Maybe they just get a lot of messages and don't have time to respond or maybe they just want a bit of attention to stroke the ego. It's Fab so everything's a mystery

Maybe it's the latter. i figured if they were actually interested, they would just message me instead of winking. Was wondering if anyone else had a similar experience or if they even wink regularly or just message straight away

We have the something similar with single female sending friend requests and winks and then hiding her profile so we cant even see anything about them, been happening on and off for 6 months now

Awk but seriously who could say. If someone wants to chat/message then they always will.

You can only 'wink' once a month so if they're leaving it that long in between then perhaps it's best to leave it be; games are for the playground sure!

I don't mind 'winks' in general though. Not everyone is great at sending a first message but that doesn't mean they're not worth talking to! So I like that Fab offers a few ice breakers

I’m a fan of a wink, although they mostly go ignored, but I think they're a good way of saying a quick hello without having to type out a long introductory message. Am I lazy? Possibly, but for all the hassle of women getting hundreds of messages every day there’s also hundreds of men out there writing all those messages which may well be ignored

I had this for weeks from a couple, always fabbing pics and winking almost daily, plucked up the courage and composed a nice message and boom......blocked

You mean almost monthly as you can only wink someone once every 30 days.

I’m only getting used to how Fab works. I’ve sent winks to selected people online, if I’d already messaged them and hadn’t heard back. In other words ‘Hey, I’m over here. Can’t you see me?’ lol

I assume by not answering my wink they’re definitely not interested

I never really use winks tbh. I think I may have winked twice in my 2 years here. I rarely check mine too. Don't really see the point in them personally and getting a wink from someone isn't gonna make me message them. But other people seem to use them alot so maybe I'm just a dick.
