East / North, Cork

Nibbles from the English market (have a croque monsieur in Cafe Marius)

Pop into Brief Encounters for a bit of naughty

Blackrock Castle Observatory is good for a few hours

Have a walk in Fitzgerald Park, or head over to Blarney Gardens or Fota Gardens

Go shopping on Patrick St

Enjoy some local badger and dodo coffee

Enjoy some Franciscan Well beer and a pizza in their garden

Try some local cheeses from On the Pigs back deli. Hegartys cheddar, Carrigaline With truffles, and Ardsallagh Ash.

Wander about in flea markets in the Village Store or Mother Jones for vintage clothes and bits.

All this!! Great start!! I’d go with Three Fools Coffee tho!

Train to Cobh and Spike Island... Cork City Womens Jail (previously mentioned) fantastic tour!

A walk along the marina is very nice if the weather is nice!

There are some walking tours of Cork as well you’ll find them all online.

There are some savage bars and pubs (now that they’re open again) to go to depending on what you’re looking for beer, food, cocktails, ect.

Food ? Burger joint @sonofabuncork

Italian . @ristirante_Rossini

Asian : @kotocork

Coffee : @idahocafe

Mix of steak/burgers : @libertygrillcork

@elbowlanecork also for steak .

There's a playblue store owned by a member here just off patrick st on careys lane.

Brief encounters as suggested for a bit of fun and frolics.

Bars : Clancys recently refurbished upmarket with gorgeous rooftop. fantastic service.. run and owned by some great lads.

Franciscan well for the brewery experience.

Vicarstown for a couple of cosy pints. Others may suggest Tom Barrys but I think it's a shithole.

Breakfast : ali's kitchen in rory gallager place.

If you are on twitter follow @culinarycork for some great insight into the food experience in Cork.

That's just the city though and there is so much more.

If you have time get to Kinsale. What a beautiful town and the food is to die for !!

Fish and chips from beside English market are fantastic. Blarney Castle is worth a visit as well. Lots of eateries off Oliver Plunkett st.
