The cheek of them trying to claim our sports men and women. First Katie Taylor then Sam Bennett and God knows how many more. It would pay them better to give us back what they stole from us rather than trying to claim more.

I didnt say it did. Im just not gonna get worked up about other people claiming him as their own now seeing as I didn't even know about him until he won a stage.

Just to be devil's advocate, we have a bit of history here ourselves and we've claimed lots of folk who holiday here or have tenuous links. I remember RTE claiming Kerry Katona as "one of ours" after she won the Celebrity Jungle thingy (and promptly disowning her after a subsequent meltdown).

Yip to be honest I couldn't give a shit about nationality or national identity. I'd wrap myself in a union jack if I was earning what Katie Taylor was off a uk company
