Well yes.. but it didn't look 80's nostalgia cool (like stranger things), it looked modern day but Still cheesey.

I'll watch one at some point though and give it a fair go.

Of all the recent remakes and sequels of 80s nostalgia classics, I think Cobra Kai is by far the best. God Daniel San has become a whiney prick

Only the 1st movie is on Netflix, but that's all you need. I'd actually love to be able to watch Cobra Kai first, without knowing anything about the Karate Kid, and then watch the movie afterwards. See if my perspective has changed on who is the hero/villan in the movie

Tried 1 episode thought it was badly acted cheese and the fact that he kept having flashbacks to the film in parts he wasn't in and couldn't be flashing back to really erked me

We laughed probably more than we should have at it, pure cheesy but still enjoyed. The way it finished was sad so looking forward to next season.
