"We finally feel like a proper fab couple after having our first no show a few days ago lol We’ll not be contacting them again haha! We got the vibe off this person that they thought quite a bit too much of themselves anyway and that vibe is a serious turn off. I guess at least they messaged before the meet. Their loss " Ya win some ya lose some. Move on and punish them with your success! Or sumfin like that

"No offense but im glad its not just us singles that are let down not a nice thing to happen but as others have said their loss and move on am sure there are plenty of others that would love to meet with you both " No offence taken whatsoever haha! Mess on this before as a single guy and it sure wasn’t easy Yes we are getting a nice stream of lovely polite and sexy messages from really gorgeous couples and a couple of ladies and having some nice connections - were just hoping for the timing to be right in schedules to get up and running off the starting blocks! So any cute couples or ladies are more than welcome to slide into our DMs haha

"A no-show to us is someone who just doesn't turn up, no message, no excuse. People do have lives and shit does happen unexpectedly, we have had to cancel ourselves at times." That’s fair point. We won’t argue over our own definitions He didn’t show up for us as planned so it is to us

We can confirm that within your first 6 months, you would of heard all the excuses under the Sun, totally ignored within 24 hours of the arranged meeting, or amazed by the ‘ No longer on site’ search. Only to be messaged by the same person the following week under a different name, claiming they have just come across your profile. As you righty say, their loss ( please take that as a complement) x

Yea they did message so it wasn’t bad at all. We’re not annoyed at all. We just felt like announcing our arrival on the let down scene haha! What happened you is due to someone having zero respect for you and you were better off out of that. A solo climax would be more worth it in the long run

It wasn’t down to any vibe we gave off Nothing lost really only a small bit of time wasting and no ghosting so it’s all good

"How long before you met did they notify they couldn't meet? If it was a few days then suitable. Was on with with a FWB before, and alot of them were all talk. They just wanted pics. I think some don't actually expect anything and get a bit worried beforehand (Maybe their shy) But don't agree to meet if you're. It certain you can go, it's simple " Agh we’re not here to bash the person at all. Just felt like sharing our new experience. And they messaged us hours before so it’s fine! We don’t know why anyone is on here and we don’t mind either as long as we get to meet some gorgeous people and expand our sexual escapades

"So after just 6 weeks on the site you arrange to meet someone who you had already decided was full of himself and gave off bad vibes. Unlike a lot of others, men women and couples who just don't turn up here at least let you know in advance so that's not a no show. A bigger question would be why arrange to meet someone giving off bad vibes in the first place? " Wow easy boy! There a new couple finding there way. No one on here hasn't made a misstep or error or two along the way. No need to go in on them.

We certainly made mistakes when we started and were led astray by one or two profiles and time wasted. So it does happen.

Also did you stop to think that our idea of their vibe and self-opinion had been fully formed by the cancellation and not just up until the arrangement of the meet? And should we possibly NOT meet people we find a little bit possibly over cocky? Please read our other repeated responses where we say we are not looking to bash the person and where we were not annoyed and where we appreciated their cancellation message. There is a little thing called hindsight we are using here to form our own judgement you know Get out the wrong side of the bed this morning?

"Ah OP unfortunately these things happen - real life does unfortunately get in the way sometimes. We had to pull out literally minutes before a meet as one of the children took ill at school and we had to high tail it back to fetch her. But since you weren't feeling it anyway it was probably for the best. Maybe he wasn't feeling it either. There'll no doubt be plenty of positive experiences ahead regardless " Great points yep! Of course and yes they could well have not been feeling it too. And in your case, it’s very very understandable what can happen last minute with children too Like we said before we aren’t really annoyed at the person and they did cancel plenty of hours in advance and it’s more we felt like announcing our arrival on the ditched scene for a “sense of belonging” lol

"I remember chatting to a woman for a couple of weeks and we had finally arranged to meet up for a coffee in city centre to make sure we clicked before moving on to a physical meet. Meet was arranged for 1pm, Stephen's Green and I drove in from Meath, parked up and was heading to agreed meeting point. We had been talking back and forth most of the morning without any hint of concern. At 12:56 I recieved a message saying she could not meet as an accident had just happened! Apparently her 'husband' had fallen down the stairs and she was 'waiting for an ambulance' and had to go to the hospital. It news to me that she was married and also very unlucky timing he decided to thrown himself down the stairs Father Ted style a few mins before the agreed time . Needless to say I was a little bit pissed. Luckily Fab have some really genuine people who jumped in when they heard I was about to turn to icecream for support and i was lucky enough to arrange some meets and chats with other people on the back of this bad experience so wishing the same for you " That’s nearly too funny to be pissed off apart from the fact you had driven from Meath and of course would be rightly fuming lol But what a concoction of a story and finding out she was apparently married. In hindsight you were as well not meeting her haha

"No shows are an unfortunate part of trying to move from online to meatspace, no matter the platform. I've had a few odd versions of the no show though. One person eagerly arranged a social meet then blocked me immediately after making the arrangement. That one was a head scratcher. " That’s a strange one alright. Probably bricked themselves or else bricked themselves AND felt guilty about possibly cheating for a first time?

"I agree that we are all naive and have all had missteps so I fully understand that. The question I was asking was that as you did actually say in your original post that you had formed an opinion of him and the vibe he was giving off was a turn off I was curious as to why you would want to meet someone like that if you knew in advance there would be no connection? No shows will always happen no matter your definition of what a no show is. " I can assure you we aren’t naive nor have we made any misstep Yes it was a little bit of a turn off as we did say you’re right there. But we didn’t feel it was enough of a turn off not to meet at that point. It’s as simple as that. Since the cancellation we now just feel that we’re not bothered fostering the connection any further Yep they will always happen

"3 cancellations in 2 weeks, latest just tonight and someone I’d met for a social so thought all was good. I’ll never understand why you’d go to the bother of messaging over and back and then ghost or delete an account an hour before a meet. Guess some things never change " 3 cancellations in 2 weeks is shocking and boiling my blood just reading it Should be a way of flagging no shows similar to the verification system. If someone lets multiple people down it should be flagged for everyone to see

" Ye I could see that being completely misused as well by people who you tell you don't want to meet them. Some on here don't take it well when you say it even if you say it from the start of a conversation. " True, but im sure there are ways to implement rules to try mitigate people miss using a ow show reporting feature like below for an example: 1. Only people with 5+ verifcations can report a profile for no show {this would assume that the people making the report are memebers of the site longer and less likely to missuse the feature} 2. When 3+ seperate no show reports against a profile is reported, a red flag is displayed as 'potential time waster' similar to green flag for verifications {once or twice may be excusable, but 3 times is deffo a trend} 3. The red flag is displayed for a certain period of time (3 months?) or until the profile recieves 2/3 further verifications without another report against them in the same period? Just an idea

I find it once you make it clear that there will be no sex happening - they suddenly get unexpected family visits, work plans, broken cars and even as far as family deaths.
