Sometimes wink back, somes don't. But we ALWAYS answer a message. Unless it's "Hi". Or something equally short.

I have sent Winks & recieved Winks here on Fab and I find then a nice icebreaker and a way of saying "I really like your profile" I would also Fab pics I like.

If I get no response in form of Wink back or even message then i take it that they're not interested and just move on without any hassle...

I take a look at winks, as well as who looked at me. If it's a profile that's of interest, then I'll usually acknowledge that wink by way of a message ... whereas who looked at me is sheer curiosity on my behalf, I wouldn't necessarily get in touch as I feel if there was something in our profile of interest, it would have sparked either a wink or message. Sometimes I look at who fabbed pics, but don't generally respond unless again I see a profile that sparks my interest.

I take note of them, send them and have received ones as replies to sending them. People on fab want you to come of with a new lord of the rings story for a first message so I just guess I'll send a wink instead of giving away my ideas for free. If it's not replied to then theres no real interest so it's ok.

I only fab pics that I think are good. I don't send winks unless it's as part of a forum thread.

99 percent of fabs I receive are from friends or other men. It's only on the very rare occasion I receive one from someone I'm not already chatting to.

The same is true for received winks.

Despite lots of ladies joining fabathon threads it's very obvious that's done only to receive fabs because I think I've got two fabs and a couple of winks this way in over a year.

The last wink I received was from a couple who claimed they weren't interested in single guys when I winked them back??

I've stopped sending winks, unless it's in response, as I don't think most women or couples respond to winks from single guys. I generally do respond if I get them, though by and large if someone's first contact is by a wink, rather than a message, I find that those are the conversations that tend not to go as far. But I always live in hope!

I've recently got a good back and forth going from a recieved wink

I'd send the odd one for the craic but don't usually expect or look for a response

But I assume women and couples are overloaded with winks anyway so I'd expect less chance of a reply than a message

Won’t lie, we would check straight away if we saw we had a new wink so guess we really like receiving them. We would generally delete them straight away if not from couples that fit our preferences or have a realistic chance of future meet due to location - don’t feel we owe a response to a wink the same way we would to a message.

In recent times we check more on who has winked us, if it's someone who peeks an interest we'll send a return wink and let that person then decide if they are interested enough to mail.

We don’t really bother with winks, regardless of who it’s from. A message would have a better chance of a reaction from us (just a “Hi” or “how are you finding fab” gets an auto delete though).

We do appreciate any fabs though as we like to perv and fab others photos too (although we generally don’t fab single guys as it tends to lead to “wanna hook up” messages )...

‘Cold’ friend requests just annoy us as it shows that they haven’t read our profile and just want to see our private pics which are only shared with people we’ve met.

We usually take note on whoever disregards these factors and work on a 3 strike rule

I don't think I've ever sent a wink and I rarely fab a pic, but I've been known to do so from time to time if it catches my attention.

Generic tits, ass and pussy pics are grand and all but I never fab those.

With regards to receiving winks and fabs, on the rare occasion that happens I just assume they do it out of the same reason I do, just to show an appreciation but I don't see it as an invitation to send a message.

From the get go here we always hoped anyone getting in touch with any serious level of interest would message and not throw out an easy wink. In the last two weeks or so we've had some winks from well verified couples who have mutual friends so I took the unusual step of reply with a message to say free free to say hi anytime. Low and behold not one replied to our message . I think it just shows a little more effort and respect if you ditch the wink and spend two minutes typing out a message

Inclined to agree, unless it's something ensuing from a forum wink thread. Winks to which you respond only to be ignored suggest, how shall I put it, a lack of a cohesive approach

Lack of cohesive approach!

A pc version of unable to converse or lack of communication skills, or even their vocabulary only goes as far as “Hi there”

I imagine single women and couples get a lot more winks and fabs than the guys. It is the same with messages*, when there is a flood it becomes more of a chore than excitement.

*Learned this from talking to ladies and couples on here.

We don't get 'flooded' exactly, but a decent message will always get our attention and can say a lot about the person/couple. Much prefer those than winks

Ah the trick of the decent message, which seems to differ for everyone. Easier to identify what makes a bad message these days.

In fairness, I think most appreciate a decent message, as in a bit of effort put in. Plenty of previous posts on the topic with similar opinions on what makes a "decent message".

The cohesive approach or rather lack of one has often been my experience. As said before I've got random winks from people who don't meet single guys and emphasise this numerous times on their profiles.

I've had winks and messages from people in England and Scotland as well as the length and breadth of Ireland who will only meet locals or those within a particular radius.

I've had them from women and couples who have their max age filters set at 40.

All of which tells me that it's not just guys who couldn't be arsed reading profiles.

I do send out winks but don't get many back lol. If I receive a wink I wink back or message if I'm interested.

I think some don't bother with them at all even when they're interested though which I do find a bit odd as it's kind of a pre conversation starter

I don't check my Fabs, but I do check my winks and who's looked at me. I don't respond to winks without an accompanying message. If I see someone's looked at me that catches my eye I'll check out their profile.

Hypocritically, if I'm interested in a guy I'll send a wink (not a message) to let him know though Generally they'll follow up by message.
