pin terest is good for ideas. If youre looking to buy bits and pieces and DIY ebay and the like is great. Etsy also sell some fabulous pieces just a little pricey but some of the stuff is amazing

Assuming you've already explored Pinterest and Insta, I'd try Etsy for some unique pieces. I'm desperately trying to remember the name of the crafter I met just before Christmas who made beautiful steampunk top hats which would make fantastic display pieces...I have her business card somewhere so I'll have a look. Also it might be worth looking for local smiths who work with copper and iron who could potentially make a bespoke statement piece of furniture to invest in and that you could build a theme around. My daughter is hugely into the steampunk aesthetic and creates OCs (original characters) both in pen & ink and digitally with a definite steampunk flavour

Look up a girl called kato on Instagram. She runs a steam punk site. Might help you for ideas and check amazon for steam punk stuff. Some sweet bits and bobs and dirt cheap too.

I love the steampunk look!

eBay can be quite good if you don't mind postage, alternatively there are some weird and wonderful things to be found on DoneDeal/Adverts if you know where to look

Creating a functional keyboard out of a typewriter, I think that's somewhat steampunk

Staffs/ Derbys/ Peak District

Take a look at The Asylum Steampunk Festival website or FB page.

The festival weekend is well worth a visit if you can get over to Lincoln next year. There’s also a lot going on online right now.
