Fab golf society?

Jump to newest

Seeing as golf outings are in the news it got me thinking!!! Not sure if it’s been asked on here before (Forgive me if it has) but would anyone be interested in setting up a golf society as a way of a good social meet? I’m sure it could make for an interesting overnight stay as long we keep the numbers below 50. If not maybe it’s something to look into when all this madness ends?

Any views all welcomed

Being good at 2 out of the 3 would count for a lot, none of us have to be good at golf

Golf gets a bad wrap from media! Trump brings the game down, connections with FF last week and then that stupid Ad on National Lottery! Generally in Ireland golf is played by all sorts, especially small clubs. Just ordinary people enjoying a brilliant sport. Hurling and football, rightly so, usually positively portrayed but Golf is not!

How about a "watching paint dry" society instead?

Maybe Big Phil could help you set it up with all his connections.

We would have to stay off our phones en route though

As a golf course manager I’d be more than happy to host this society lol

We may have to think of a suitable name for the society so nobody finds out where we all met.......

I'd be interested, it would be a good way to get to meet people, and I've toyed with the idea of taking up golf anyway, just not quite sure where to start with it, for health reasons, of course
