I completely understand age parameters on profiles, I have them myself! Looking forward to my birthday though when it ticks over from 29 to 30. 30 seems to be the starting point for a lot of very intriguing profiles, it'll be a whole new world!

Although I'd say my question would be, how much would you deviate from your age restrictions if a profile really took you? I'd say a couple of years either way.

Much bigger issue when you are at the other end of the scale and too old to message them..

At least you in time will get to grow into their age requirements.

There are a few i would love to message but i can't as im too old but that's just life.

Have crossed paths with a few in the past and became friends with them as face to face the age thing tends to be less important

As I've said many times in similar threads my upper age filters are flexible but my lower ones are not.

I have children almost your age op and will therefore never meet anyone close to their age.

Some people say that age is irrelevant if you make a connection and if that is really true then I wish them well but I've no interest at all in even trying to connect with someone 25+ years my junior.

Are they not increasing in age at the same time as you, so as you reach an age bracket their age bracket increases

Mine are the way they are to out ppl trying to shave a few years off. I think it puts off honest slightly older guys though. Blessed with a hubbie who looks five years younger than he is if not more kinda taints my views though...

Ive gone a few yrs younger and older for the right person...My filters are really used to keep the messages down but ill always message outside of them if a profile catches my attention

I have my age parameters open, I prefer to meet those at least my age or older but now and then a younger person intrigues me, it's more to do with their mentality and how we connect than specific ages.

27-28 was hovering around my absolute lower limit but I know a girlfrom a while back who was only 23. We met in work but we got on really well from the start and always hung out on our breaks. The two of us even went out for drinks before she left the job, her idea not mine. Had she made a move I would have went for it but I wasn't going to be the one chasing after a 23 year old.

She has since left the country but she did change my opinion on getting with younger girls so I'm more open to it but I wouldn't be actively seeking it.

So I'm 25. If I see a preference on the profile of like 27+ I won't send a message, but I would send a wink. If they like what they see then maybe they'll message. I've got a few messages as a result, but I never expect any.

Age isn't relevent to me personally once there's an attraction.

But I understand many fabbers have preferences, after all some may have sons and daughters in their 20's
