somewhere

I've read a lot of threads with regards to Hotels on the forum and the fear for some reason of getting caught.

Ok there are new covid rules that have to be obeyed and thats fine

But are they really not discrete in general

There must be a few funny Hotel stories out there that will cheer up the forums today

Waterford

I'm sure hotel staff see and hear all sorts of shenanigans and I'd say most of them probably don't give it a second though.

As an average Joe I wouldn't worry too much about hotel discretion.

On a serious note, what kind of things have you read or heard? What worries you in general?

Stayed in hotels recently in Meath and Galway. Couldn't see any issues regarding visitors as long as you are respectful and discrete

Absolutely nothing worries me about hotels I stay in them often enough

But there are a lot of threads about them if you look.

Do you have to give your details

Hotels are not discrete

How do you meet people in them

That's just 3 from the forum this morning

I dont understand adults worrying about stuff like that

Agh ok I see

It was the time of your OP that made it seem like you were worried about a lack of discretion.

Yea I see that you need to provide true identification alright. Do hotels in Ireland in normal times require ID? I can’t remember ha

I think one of the issues with some fabbers is that they book for two but want three to stay and don't want to pay extra..hence the sneaking in sneaking out saga..or maybe that's part of the fun

Most hotels charge by room not people staying, we always ask for a twin room, just to have a spare bed to play in and not worry if we soak it lol

I’ve booked hotels without being asked for ID - in the past, not since restrictions.

Recently I have walked through hotel receptions, passed their lift and into their restaurant.

Could have easily gone to the rooms if invited

I’d say you’re possibly on to something there - on both fronts

Dublin west

You just head up to the room and don't make a big song and dance about it.

Book it online and pay in advance and its even easier.

Always ask for 2 cards at check in.

Some are better as you can access the rooms easier but generally if you don't look shifty or like you are hiding something you will be fine..

Just don't make an ass of yourself or too much noise in the room and you will be fine.
