As long as you don’t use it in Ireland for ATM withdrawals it’s more or less free and the exchange rates are top knotch

Very handy. We use it as a second debit card in case the kids need something. Saves us leaving our own debit cards at home all the time

Been using it for months. Have the virtual card on my phone so i can pay for stuff with just the phone.

Not used cash in months for anything.

Exchange rates if you travel are great.

Great way for sending cash to the kids

For me, Revolut is sort of like many new advances in technology. Before you have it, you wonder what you would ever need anything like that. But once you fully embrace it, you never go back.

Also, if you ever fancy investing in the stockmarket, crypto, gold etc, it's super easy.

We both have cards and find it excellent!

The vault feature is really cool as we both save into that together for breaks/holidays etc.

Transferring money is simple and immediate.

Depending on which type of card you choose you get different benefits/rates etc (we have premium) and this can include overseas medical insurance, delayed flight and baggage insurance, VIP lounge access and up to 400€ per month ATM withdrawals (12c per trans after that).

So yeah, it’s grrrrrrrrrrreat

Have it for well over a year. Can’t recommend it highly enough. Saves you a fortune when you’re traveling!

Not sure about that. I top up from my bank first and have a vault setup to take X amount of money each day. But I will check "
ye do please and let me know. I have nothing in revolut at mo but set it to save a 10er a week. My bank account is linked to it. Just wondering does it take the money from the account.

Have had one for years and absolutely love it. I'm from a border county (but live in Dublin) and it's a big money saver on exchange rates as it gives you the true rate with no fees.

For online shopping, I use it to pay in sterling where I can. That can save you up to 20% depending on the site - Asos for example has a HUGE markup on their euro prices vs sterling.

Day to day, I leave my bill money / direct debits / standing orders money in my current account and use Revolut for all my disposable spending. It has instant withdrawal (unlike my own bank) so I can actually keep proper track of my spending!

Last thing I love is the instant transfer to others, and the bill splitting feature - and even Revolut to bank is faster than bank to bank.

Had it for years now, mainly for foreign trips but also trips to Dublin etc it's handy for Nordies and vice versa those coming north.

Also handy for paying for flights for example. Say the flight is priced in the currency of the local airport - Budapest for example. Its cheaper to exchange currency onto your revolut and pay it in that currency. Similar for other online payments outside of your local currency.

Also, mainly use it for tap payments at home, usually top up 50 quid at a time so never that much on it if someone does try anything dodgy with it.

There's a 200 quid "free" atm withdrawal per month then small fees after that but you can just tap away with no fees in your local currency.

It's pure magic, it gives you inter bank exchange rates and saves you at least 1.5% which might not sound alot but it's better in your pocket than in the money lenders who have been screwing us for years and continue to do so paying interest rates on deposits of one hundreth of one percent.VIVA REVOLUT

We used Revelut Card last year on lads trip to Portugal....We each put money onto card & then used it over there to pay in restaurants & pubs etc so no fecking about with exchanging currency & whose round it was....lol.....You can top up from your own bank anytime too

I have just been told it happens on some people revolut and they have 2 accept the payment

You can add and transfer funds to and from any bank account that has an IBAN.

For instant top-ups, you do need a debit card number though - I don't have either account so I'm not sure if they come with a card!

I have a card. But I’m not a verified a/c so can’t use it. The reason been that you need a valid passport for your identity and mine is out of date since January. No point in getting a new passport at the mo for obvious reasons lol

It only takes seconds to top up your funds once your bank account is linked to the revolute card.

It really is simple to use and if you don't like it you can just stop using it but i bet you wont.

Its all i use now. Not had to use cash in months.

can you pay with a revolut card, obviously as long as u have the funds in there.

Or you can use your physical card that they send you in the same way as any other debit card.

I have never used the physical card. I don't even carry out with me usually unless im traveling.

And you can freeze the card at anytime if you think you have lost it and unfreeze it again when you find it.

And because you have to unlock your phone to use the phone payment there is an additional level of security over using a standard card.

The US Dollar is at an all time low at the minute. Dropped by about 5% in the last month or so.

I have a load of USD in Revolut,just waiting for it to go up again... if America ever sort their shit out :/

To add....I switched my current account to N26. Fully online German registered bank. It's great. App is excellent, easy use with nice features. No banking fees for basic plan which is more than enough for me. Provides IBAN for transfers, utility bill direct debits etc. It doesn't have all features that Revolut has so I use Revolut also. I picked N26 because they are registered in European Union. Revolut are registered in UK so Brexit was a factor. It was great leaving my Irish bank who showed not loyalty plus never went into branches. Your penalised for not staying. I was worried switching but had nothing to worry about. N26 is brilliant and I rarely cash now. But N26 still provide 5 free ATM transactions per month on basic plan.
