Fear the waking thread

Apparently one of the side effects of Covid-19 is that it resurrects previously dead threads.

Some of them passed on a year or more ago but the Lazarus strain of covid has breathed new life into them and they are back among us with a vengeance in recent months.

Should we speak in hushed tones and wait for them to pass us by or actively engage with them even when their creators have not been resurrected and are classed as unlos?

If you use the desktop site you can find threads by year and month at the bottom of the page

But why would you want to is the question?

If someone hasn't posted on a thread for a year why would anyone feel the need to resurrect it rather than just starting a new one.

It's a bit ridiculous when the original op and half the contributors are no longer on the site.
