I know a man who won a big prize money a few years ago it was very unexpected win for him.

Anyway he set up a business and gave a good bit of his winnings to charity.

Now day's he told me I still work every day and I spend my work money on my bills like normal without touching his winnings. And also he said he's not moving away he ended up buying his house from the council

I asked why hasn't he quit the work as he would live the rest of his life on the winnings.

And he said I'd get too board sitting around doing noting.

He also said I am not changing my life because of his win.

He just said my winnings go towards travelling and holidays etc.

So my question is would you change if you came into life changing money? Likes of quiting jobs and moving away etc.

Me personally I would definitely buy a home a nice car give some to charity and most likely buy a business or continue working in my job now. So how about ye guys ??

Id get a bigger house so that the kids could have a room each for their own privacy especially when it comes to teenage years. Id change the car. If it was like a euromillions win with big money id give a good bit to family etc. Id put money into accounts for each of the kids to start them off in life and id invest more into bitcoin. Would also look into buying property in germany

If won a large amount. I'd continue to work a few days, give money to charity, look after my nieces/nephews and my family.

Buy and do you a house, and enjoy travelling and seeing the world.

The sticks

I’d do a job that I’d actually like to do and it wouldn’t be a chore everyday, something more enjoyable than supply chain

Love to do something by the sea or lake, something enjoyable that probably won’t pay a fortune

I'd probably quit the job and buy a few homes in different places.

But I'd still be going to Penny's for my jocks and socks runs

I'd like to think I'd react like the guy you know but depending on how much you actually win you might not be given the option. If you win a million or two you could probably go on pretty much as you are but if you got your hands on one of the big Euromillion jackpots it's going to be almost impossible.

If I won big prize money, I'd probably buy a couple of city centre apartments. Partition off as many bedrooms as I can, cram bunk beds in all, hike up the rent as much as physically possible.

Keep my current job, but also rake in 1000s in rent every month. Not because I need the money, but just because I can.

North West, Outer Letterkenny area

Probably buy a half decent house and a small cottage by the sea. Keep family comfortable and some charity stuff anonymously.

I get where he's coming from but yeah I would.. probably give it few weeks before I quit the job,go study more about this passion of mine and make it a business here. Pay for my Irish Passport, get a property here and abroad. Won't get a big house here tho. Get my parents and siblings a nice place back home,business...I'll do the helping myself and help poorer people back home. Euros will get far where I'm from. Maybe even a house in a tropical beach. :D

By the sea

Id spend half of it on drink drugs and women. Then I'd squander the rest.

But in reality i wouldn't change a thing, just help family more.

Ah, seems like a lot of effort to be honest. Either that, or go the other direction and get a stress free job like cutting grass every day like Forrest Gump

I think having reasonable good health would be my first priority. With a massive win I would not want to change my ordinary day to day living and become a show piece of extravagance. Yes it would be easier to get things done rather than having to wait on a financial priority to do list. I would look to those who were there for me when I needed a helping hand and would offer in return a gesture like roof repairs, replacement car, a holiday or be a sponsor for their children's future educational support or support any health issue circumstances. Luxurious yachts swanning around dripping in gold or high flying social circles not for me

I would quit my job and return to college and study what I've always wanted to study but haven't done for financial reasons.

Donate some to charity in the form of equipment for hospitals and resources, pay a wage for personnel in others.

Few nice holidays, nice house and enjoy some with family

South Side.

Id stay working, i love what i do. But maybe bring my work to Berlin or Paris. Id give away a lot to family and close friends. Id love to have an appartment in Dublin, London, Paris, Barcelona. I like the sea, so i think I'd buy that appartment in Dalkey, or Howth. I think id set up educational scholarships for people who want to study and follow their passion in life.

Naas

100% iwould change. pick what jobs I went for , tell the asshole clients to fuck off(if you work for yourself you will understand this) . just plod along with no pressure in the knowledge that you are able to pay the bills and put food on the table. buy a good house put a wall around it, electric gates etc.

the amount of negativity I could get out of my life with a big cash win. it would probably turn my hair colour brown again
