Personally I think the same unfortunately especially since the number of cases has gone up

Dublin west

Most of the pubs that are open for food are very quiet as it is.

People are drinking from off licences and supermarkets at home.

The sticks

In rural Galway some of the small pubs are just takin the p#ss, zero food and the place is jammed.

These idiots will wreck it for the responsible landlords who are playing by the rules

Can’t see things open on the 10th, if the numbers continue they may go back a stage in order to insure schools get back at the end of the month

Outdoor sessions in houses have become the new thing. Why? Because they are way more of a social interaction than pubs under the current climate.

There's going to be an announcement tomorrow so we'll see what comes of that

The priority is to open the schools later this month. Don't think they'll risk jeopardising that by opening the pubs in the same month unfortunately

Not opening pubs doesnt stop people gathering, that's the thing. U have to tryst publicans to man their premises properly.

Definitely can't see the pubs opening next Monday.

I don't think it will help the situation. It's a tough one I really feel for all the publicans and staff.

North West, Outer Letterkenny area

Most pubs around Donegal and around the Letterkenny area are open and using a takeaway as a get around the food with drink. Not prepared on site they just get a pizza or something delivered to the pub, then sit drinking for hours. I know they need business but its a shambles. The pubs serving food are abusing it so they figured why not too. Can't see the so called "wet" pubs opening officially.

Heaven in the Midlands

Anyone who lives near the border are just crossing over for their pints. It's a crazy situation.

Here and There, Monaghan

We were in a hotel recently (staying over). We were in the bar for over 2 hours, with a meal. There was a guy to our left, and a couple to our right, both there when we arrived , no sign of food with either. They were not guests, regulars by the sounds of the interaction of staff. We left and they were still there. The hotel were not following the rules, will the pubs be any better? Can't see ham pubs or nightclubs can open safely and he safe., not when people are pissed

Very frustrating in Killarney, dropped 170 for meal, asked if we could have another drink, I said maybe, paid the bill, and then asked for a round and was told no as we had to be residents. I mean, come on , a bit of cop!!

daily cases rising is normal. If you get a huge rise in a particular area lock it down. Listening to news this morning, I think pubs are going to open and outdoor attendance at gaa games will increase to 400 or 500.
