"I'm very hesitant to meet for fun while Covid is still with us. Then I think ... as a single person, how long should we go without human contact before it becomes ridiculous. Like this Pandemic could be or probably will be with us well into next year. So, my question is ... do you throw caution to the wind or hold tight?" Well at this stage the decision to meet someone for fun is simply down to you as it will be a long time for fab to give people the green light to meet i suppose if you are cautious about meeting someone it's no harm to ask for their virus test results

Suppose it will have to be self pleasure for the present as otherwise it's a risk we all need to be careful about as looking out for each other in these strange times

"Not sure all in health care get checked, may depend on where or what they work at " I work in private healthcare and not one regulatory body has said that you need to get checked regularly. I’ve had two tests because of potential patient exposure, thankfully negetives both times... but no-one is making you get checked! You could always take the STI test route on it... organise a meet but make sure someone gets tested first. (Just FYI... I’ve been tested... twice... no Covid... jus sayin! )

My mum runs a few and all of her staff and residents have to get tested fortnightly.

Very little in the way of testing regulation information given out. It’s a bit vague really.

Not really...they could be tested ..cleared ..yet pick it up that very day .. " As can any member of those in the frontline, we can't lock down every member of society. Schools opening back up in September. We need to get back to a new form of normal. Small social groups appears to be the way forward. So small fab groups are the new norm, not your large M&G's or club with the danger of a super spreader

Meeting for a SD coffee, meeting someone new I see no harm. Or limiting to one couple or single to reduce any spread or lack of traceability.

You could argue someone in healthcare gets more exposure, so not necessarily the safest route....

I honestly think that we're in a lull right now and looking at the numbers other countries are posting we won't be far behind them(because we're no different) so if you really really need to get anything out of your system do it now while the odds are with you.

Don’t throw caution to the wind, but be careful just as you would have been before Covid. Choose wisely and don’t go meeting everyone

"A meet with a couple/single would be safer than going to a crowded event. Statistically the chances are low at the moment. Choose someone in healthcare who gets tested regularly and your sorted ??" Not sure about that logic. Not all are getting regular tests. Some places are only testing when they're known to have been in contact with a suspected covid patient. I'd say those in health care might be a higher risk rather than lower. Tests are only as good as on that time as being tested. It says nothing about exposure afterwards. Much like any other tests. Fab's removal of verifications has increased the danger IMO. We cannot see whom they have met or been meeting or frequency as a result. I'm certain there are many who are and have been meeting and hiding behind the webcam verification system too. As soon as Fab opens verifications, we'll see a surge in reverifications of said webcam meets into more descriptive meets. It's true that's it's not going away at time soon and as someone already said, it'll be much like seasonal flu, but just regional spikes happening. Our bodies will slowly build up an immunity which will help in fighting it. There may even be new strains evolve which we'll need to face and deal with. The risks will be there and will be managed depending on individuals. Any group meets will be the highest risks. Not everyone at group meets will behave appropriately either. That's where there's a higher risk of spreading it and be the cause of much bigger issues. Be wise and be careful.

" So you're advocating getting involved and be the cause of a spike as opposed to try to reduce the risk? The reason countries are have waves is for this very thinking, 'it's at a low now so it's ok' approach.

Woman goes to doctor, comes home and informs husband that her test results got mixed up and doesn’t know if she has TB or VD. Husband is horny and rings doctor to see what the story is. Doctor informs him to chase her around the kitchen until she is out of breath. “Why?!” Exclaims the husband. “If she coughs, f**k her”, replies the doctor. Could we apply the same logic to meets on Fab during lockdown..??
