In terms of the swinging lifestyle does the term gentleman hinder or help a guy? I've been super fortunate to meet some beautiful women... Gotten on well but the term gentleman used after somehow indicates a timid and shy individual which I don't think I am. So.. Help or hinderance?

I spent years despising being told I was a nice guy or a gentleman.

I saw it as polite way of calling me bland and boring.

Now I accept it as a compliment because I'm more confident in myself and I know who I am and being a gentleman means I am respectful of other people's thoughts, feelings and emotions and I'm not self-centred.

I consider the term a compliment, a man who treats others with respect is my definition.

In terms of swinging it can be the antithesis of what fab can expect.. Just pondering aloud is all

I'd rather be a gentleman on here and in real life than a dickhead.

I'm not going to change who I am on the off chance I have sex

There's a lot worse things to be called

How do you interpret the term yourself? I'm sure your meets didn't intend it as a slight.

No.. Not at all.. Its an insecurity with me.. Some guys get the opposite type of review and puts them in a more alpha sexual male light. I'm most likely just over thinkinglol

If I call someone a gentleman it is always a compliment and wouldn't preclude them being hot between the sheets

Now you made me read all your veris...

For me gentleman is a very positive term and even in a fab context has nothing to do with 'nice, timid and shy' at all. If a woman calls you a gentleman it's a compliment and I can't see how this is of any disadvantage on here.

Btw gentleman and alpha male aren't exclusive, it's perfectly possible to be both, having said that at your age you should have advanced to a gamma male anyway.

I would google gamma male before accepting it as a compliment

"Gamma males love having fun but don't shrug off their responsibilities at the same time. They're definitely adventurous and fun-loving and tend to get very restless if they're left idle for too long. It is possible an alpha male might mature into a gamma male, because gamma males are a more refined version of them"..... That'll do me lol

I take it as a compliment as being mindful of other human beings.

Gentleman is a compliment, to me it describes a respectful, confident, masculine man, hopefully in a well cut tux... basically the Milk Tray man!

Yep that would be my definition of gamma male too but just browsed a bit on the web and the description of gamma male varies widely. Just shows you not to use any of those stupid labels.... just be yourself!

I would always view calling a man a gentleman as being a compliment. I'd much rather meet a gentleman here any day.

Somewhere in Co. Down

A gentleman is a compliment. I'd rather meet a gentleman anyday than one of the self called alpha males.

I also find the guys who are true gentlemen are way better in bed than the so called all talk of the alpha male who seems be just that all talk and demeaning of others yet usually are so full of themselves and too busy making sure they cum to actually learn about pleasuring a woman.

Being called a gentleman is a complement but being called a nice guy is a brush off.

I prefer being with a man who acts like a gentleman and knows how to treat a lady both in and out of the bedroom. Some of the best gentlemen I've met here knew exactly when to be a gentleman and when to be filthy

When I say a guy is a gentleman I simply mean he respected boundaries and behaved well in my company. This is important for women when trying g to figure out if a guy is worth meeting.

Being called a Gentleman is most definitely a good thing , God knows there's an abundance of Arseholes claiming to be this , that or the other.

Next time you are complemented like that you could always give a smile and a Devilish grin and say yes I am a Gent but I also have a wild streak

The same Milk Tray man that breaks into womens houses and bedrooms in every Milk Tray ad I've seen?
