So I read an article saying it might be closing down due to, too many insurance claims the lockdown made things much worse since the summer period would be where they make their money back I have alot of fond memories especially during my teens of this place so would be sad to see Aqua Dome close what are your thoughts

Not opening this year due to covid and cost of insurance. Will be back next year... hopefully

Yeah the insurance claims have been doing the damage but tbh not all them claims were the pools fault if your running or acting the maggot then it's your own fault what happens to you fingers crossed that it does reopen I think it's Dublin will be the nearest place like the aqua dome unless there is others I don't know about i think there is a biggish one in Cork but not sure

Pity its not opening this year. But to be honest the claims culture is to blame. So very hard to get an insurance company to take it on. The costs will be crippling.

Its a pretty poorly run centre which doesn't help with claims.

In relation to it opening next year it will depend on social distance guidlines.

There is no way to make somewhere like it profitable under current guidelines due to the cost of maintaining its facilities.

A few places like that could go under
