Are manners a thing of the past , and because this is an adult site for so called adults why are so many people so petty .

We were asked if we wanted to meet a couple tonight at the last minute in balbriggan , we can't meet at a drop of a hat and said we'd love to but unfortunately we cant tonight but Thursday or friday would work for us if that suits you.

Then no reply and instant block .

Obviously we take as a lucky escape there obviously a bit odd but is a simple sorry no that doesn't suit us and maybe try organise a time that suits everyone.

We try to reply to most messages we get even if it's a simple no thanks and most of the time we get a nice reply back saying thanks for bothering to reply .

Is it that hard to have manners ?

Manners cost nothing but I definitely think both here and in life they are lacking.

Sad state. People forget that there is a human at the other end and do such things. But after a few months i have decided that it’s wishful thinking to expect manners and niceties here (this is not for the nice ones I met here)

They've done you a favour !

Add a note to their profile and block them in return too.

You've just saved yourself the hassle of meeting someone whom you really shouldn't have.

Just imagine their attitude during the meet, God knows what other "surprises" they would have had for you.

People are always people, no matter what type of group you frequent or passion you share.

Don't expect anything and you will never be disappointed.

I am obviously referring to strangers.

You can have "claims" only from those you know in person and think are trustworty.

Peace

Anonymity breeds contempt..People are not nearly as rude or demanding in real life, usually.

It's a hazard on a site like this when you are engaging with initially with a unknown person. If you build up an initial chat through, forums, chat rooms or PM's you can sense who is nice and genuine. M&G face to face events is another opportunity to gauge what people are like. Some like minded people are really lovely others can be rather harsh and not pleasant to engage with. Experiences with some people in the Fab world may not be nice but is generally a reflection of some people generally. Just chalk it down to experience I am sure you will meet nice couples here as some seem great fun and am sure enjoyable to spend time with.

We're not shocked just more wondering why

Im afraid a lot of people on here forget their manners. But as someone above said... you may have been better off not lnowing them.

Lack manners is annoying but better to find out what sort of person they are before you waste time meeting them only to regret it after. Block and move on. There are plenty on here who are decent and nice.

This

So true, manners are such a wonderful trate. That simple "thank you" can mean so much. Unfortunately I think some forget themselves when online and just "tap" and move on. Sad really

Thank you for reading

Everyone has manners,everyone.

Some good manners,some bad manners

It's not good manners to call out someone else's bad manners

Manners cost nothing and you’ve either been given them by your parents or you haven’t. I’ve had replies from ladies here that they aren’t interested and I’ve simply replied thank you and appreciate the reply. It’s just common courtesy but can I play devil’s advocate here for a second OP. If a male had posted here that he got blocked and his mail deleted, people would be on here slating him quoting site advice that being blocked is simply a ‘no thanks and not interested’ but that brings us to a totally different thread altogether.

Like so many things manners are ingrained and are part and parcel of your character. If you don't have them by now you never will.

Just like respect is not a given and has to be earned.

I came here to say exactly that, if you don't have manners by the time you get to this site then you never will.

Was just about to say the same thing. I often wonder how shops can employ people with literally no manners.

There is a supermarket I shop in and 1 of the cashiers is the most ignorant beast I've had the displeasure of serving me.

She doesn't say anything when you're at the till, will often be turning round while scanning your shopping to chat with another cashier, doesn't tell you the price or say please and thank you. Out of sheer badness I always ask how much the total is just to see the usual eyeroll, hear the grunt and she turns to the screen just to make her say something I always finish with an over enthusiastic "Thank you SO much"
