No need to apologise the C word has caused a lot of crap but for some it might be the best thing ever. Find something your passionate about and go for it

Sorry to hear about your business.

Surely it must be very tough and devastating, however you seem already contemplating to move on and explore new ways. That's the spirit, keep it up!

I've done a full swing 15years ago from being an employed high earner working endless hours to self(un)employed in a more creative field and regaining a private life. Never regretted it. At present on covid-19 payment with little hope of working as it was any time soon. However exploring online options at present and will bounce back when crowds are allowed again.

Good luck with re-inventing yourself, stay positive, it can be an interesting challenge.

I feel you pain, haven't worked property since March. Up until then I was putting in high hours but now changing attitude as I get back to work. Try to get more life hours rather than work hours even though I really enjoy what I work at. Fortunately I have work to go back to. Have a look around you never know what you might find. Things tend to turn up.

Somewhere in Co. Down

Sorry to hear about your business. It's been very tough for so many people and there is still a lot of uncertainty. Like others have said try and find something you will enjoy and go in that direction.

I completely changed career a while ago after working in one sector for the best part of 30 years.Even tho I had loved the job it was time for change. Luckily I have been working away all through this.

Best of luck with your career change I hope it all works out.

Hey people

Own my own business employ 10 people

I love them all

I have taken big cuts myself so I can keep them going

We will all try and get there

It’s really hard for people is different jobs

I’m not looking for a fucken medal. But some of us think more of our solid workers than ourselves

People. We have to work. We have to live. We owe it to our family our kids our grandkids our fucken fellow Irish paye workers. What ever nationality they are. I love everyone that wants to work even if they can’t get a job

If you know someone that lost a job ( from experience) call to them offer them support. Just chat. Believe me they are going through fucken hell. Be nice. I love all the people that done it for me.

Reading the messages I actually feel better. Thanks guys.

I am normally the less serious guy sort of the comedian when out but not so much for the past few days. Even though in my head I know I am not the only one going through this it helps just getting it out there and getting similar replies.. no matter what we will all bounce back xx

Hey, you've got the right attitude. You have already been successful. Stay confident, opportunity will reveal itself. The world is changing for us all, some more than others and it's what you make of it. Also right now you will find people who want to get involved in business ideas.

Always available to chat if you want to bounce ideas.

I'm very much glass nearly full.

Lee

I changed career, after a long time in a very good career which i enjoyed. I re invented myself and now run my own business. Im closed for now, and not sure when I'll reopen, but i busy myself on other ways. This covid holiday we're on will have many people thinking, about where to live, work, rear kids, relationships, etc. There are many others like you.

Seems like a few extra people are going back to college/university... And that was my plan since January. But then she C shyte came and messed up everything... They even stopped communicating with me... This year will be overbooked, so I will have to postpone for next year
