Yes there is a right v wrong.

If you wrap the left lace anticlockwise around the right lace, it looks good and the two bows will rest pointing left and right.

If you loop the left lace clockwise around the right lace, the two bows rest pointing up and down. It looks weird and It bothers me when people do it that way
