Males mental health

Can only speak for myself ... I feel during these hard times around the world that fab is becoming as poisonous as Instagram is, not only for men but for women also, obviously there’s more men and less activity going on with majority of them.

I wonder what the men’s point of view is here ... do you find yourself constantly on fab and constantly trying to chase a woman or a couple ... almost like a drug. I’ve been questioning why I’m using it and I’d like different perspectives.

Have a think ..

I find I’m on fab more now due to the lockdown. Main spend my time in the forums and rarely use the search page. Any profile that I’m speaking with is due to forums threads. If that in turn leads to a meet then great but I’m not expecting or chasing anything in particular.

So no unhealthy traits associated with the use?

Probably spend too much time on it but apart from that I don’t think so.

In my opinion online as in life if you find a situation "poisonous" or negative then remove yourself from the situation don't engage in it find something that you find positivity from

If you think insta is bad it could be worse you could be on twitter...

That's a real poison swamp

Used it less and less. I was on it more in the first week, but it was a bit toxic in forums with far too much speculation of the unknowns ahead. I stopped using it for except the odd time to keep in touch with a friend who had moved away. Only recently back on as sub was doing some challenges and I was interested in responses to them. Last couple of days I've been back again to read the odd post.

I'm here to avoid doing work. I know I'm doing it, like right now, but I cant help it with the lockdown. You'll probably never see me again if I end up working back in the office because I keep myself busy 24/7 and have a quick look on Facebook for 5 mins and that's that.

I'm not on twitter, insta etc.

I've found I feel worse being stuck in and using fab, but I know now for a fact that it will be temporary.

I find fab a bit of fun from real life and find chatting here kinda nice to chat to strangers not just about sex. bit of banter and a bit of fun and what harm. We all have issues in life and if it helps to chat and get if off you’re chest why not xxx

I took a long break from Fab for that very reason. I actually took a full break from Social Media.

I'm not on here as much as before. come for a perve and the forums. I don't chase so don't have to worry about that. For some though the constant rejection has to take it's toll. Guys who do well with Ladies in the pub scene don't always, get the same response here. Then you see them throw their toys out of the pram.

All Social media can be toxic if you let it get to you or Become addictive.

The Forums are actually the best place to interact with the beautiful ladies of Fab. No pressure, just having a laugh. you'll be surprised how much it makes a difference when you stop trying.

Depression and mental illness is a passion of mine for very good reason . but lockdown or not if you have depression fab is not z good place too be simply because the rejection you feel normaly is multiplied 100 fold and thats simply down to for every 1 woman theres 100 men . yes i went off all social media for quite a long time as advised by my counciler , i still dont have any of them apart from here . with the lockdown for me it has made no difference as it was a extremly rare occasion i got a reply anyway . And you are right it does become addictive to keep on running after women and couples and this is more for the desire to find acceptance. Listen it can get out of control and before you know it you find your head in all sorts of trouble .....Stop.... You got to remember the count of how many men there is too a woman and you have to be able to have the level head and be in control . if you cant it is better to pull the plug and find something you like or an intrest that everyone will will talk to you .be good to yourself , talk talk talk . exercise , and work toward an achevialble goal

Isn't seeking other people's validation for your opinion part of the issue?

If you yourself are spending too much time on here and it feels wrong to you...stop.

Nothing wrong with spending time on fab fantasising about meeting that woman or couple for fun if you feel it's time well spent and you do get meets from it(under normal none Covid times)

But there's a fine line between addiction and compulsion and if you google it you might see the symptoms to be able to check if you have either.

If you do want to spend less time on fab I think the old " the devil makes work for idle hands" saying is spot on and maybe it's time to fill your spare time with things you've always wanted to do(read, make something, grow stuff, redecorate) etc

Good luck with whatever you decide to do

South Side.

Ive disconnected from FB as it is becoming sad and toxic, i feel a weight of worry had lifted off my shoulders. I've hidden my profile here, so i just check in and see whats being discussed on the forum. I'm not on any other social media, and spend my day outdoors.Id love to meet more people and have great chats, meets, coffee, beers, but i cant. Its frustrating and drives me mad, but.. Hey, another long walk in the bog muttering to myself seems to sort me out.
