7 weeks of idle chit chat. So, just deleted all mail and sent mail and have those im chatting to on kik. If lockdown is lifted say next week - would you really feel comfortable meeting someone? I have ladies that have said yes but I'm just in 2 minds although by the talks of it all this virus is here to stay a long time.

So would you risk a meet as soon as lockdown is lifted?

Had conversation about something similar yesterday outside fab. If you fit and healthy are you better "getting it" and stay isolated for the 14 days If you have had the virus and are now sympthon free are u still carrying it , can it be passed on?

That's it as they haven't clarified if you have had it then thats you immune. I suppose it's all personal choice but i think it will be a while before i meet intimately with someone again. I'm a scaredy cat!!

Basically the answer is we're not entirely sure yet.

There was talk that the South Koreans had come across people with 2and infections but it turned out their testing was too sensitive and picked up dead coronoavirus cells. But as of now we've no reason to believe that you can catch it twice. However that may change if the virus mutated (similar to how flu changes every year and you need a different vaccination).

We think that after 2 weeks of being symptom free that you wont pass it on, but theres not enough info to be 100%on this yet. Initially it was thought 2 weeks without a fever was enough but in some cases fever can disappear before the virus has run its course.

You wont be better of catching it just to get immunity, it would increase community infections and you might be one of the unlucky ones that gets a bad dose. Its caused strokes in some people in their 20s and we dont have any idea what the long term damage could be yet.

Definitely don't plan to "catch it" as I would be considered high risk.

What do you mean by when lockdown is lifted OP?

Every single measure mentioned in the government road map states where social distancing can be maintained.

I'll meet when those guidelines are no longer in place. Basically when there is a vaccine or more effective treatment.

So 2021 at some stage

Social distancing is likely to be a "thing" long after August, there is a risk of a second wave of coronavirus coinciding with the annual flu. Everyone will make their own choices, but it's unlikely the risk of Covid-19 will disappear any time soon

Once restrictions will be eased, people will start meeting again. Yes you've to break the social distancing rule - which will stay in place until vaccine day - and yes you're taking a risk. With many actions we do throughout a day we take a risk.

Some might call it disrespectful towards frontline staff etc. and we can all pretend to be holier than holy and of high moral ground. Have you ever thought of frontline staff in the past when going on the piss or doing something similarly irresponsible and you ended up at A&E?

We have to learn to live with the corona beast and that includes taking risk but we should always strive to minimise the risk.

I had just noticed threads about socials in summer and then a couple of frie ds said they would contemplate it. I know it'll all be phased and Ireland and N.I may differ slightly in their plans and dates

I am a nurse I would highly suggest you do not try and get it even if you are fit and healthy. I have looked after covid patients both young and old and honestly I've never seen anything like it. The way this virus affects the body is unbelievable and still a lot is unknown at this moment. I've seen more people die in the last few months that I have in my entire career.

Mrs G, first of all - there's 3 unread messages from you in my inbox. You contacted me.

Second of all - before you talk shit about my partner in my inbox make sure you have all the facts right.

Third of all - before claiming that you have attended any of our events - make sure you can answer a simple question without going on endless multiple rants. Until you are able to do so - everything you say will be written off as delusions of a bored shit stirrer.

Back to your original post: yes, you are stirring shit just like you stirred shit with m&g security, just like you stirred shit with secret Santa and a few other topics, you know this is a sensitive topic for many, you know many will have different opinions and will judge each other and potentially fall out with each other. You're pulling strings that aren't yours to pull while hiding behind a spare anonymous profile.

Who is Mrs G?? Maybe u have replied on the wrong forum

I deleted all my mail including yours as they were nonsense

Please don't know converse with me on here or i will simply delete my profile and get a new one as plenty to veri me.

You seem to have a certain queen bee attitude towards my posts and your messages to me....not cool!

You say oh we are hiding our profiles as we are such a couple then continually lurk and comment as you are continually online which people can c even when u block someone and they have their profile hidden.

Your partner was well verified before he met you that is all.

Your final point - this was a genuine thread regarding lifting lockdown and meets, i do not judge anyone. If you do then that is your issue and yours alone.

Now i will ask one more time for you to leave me alone, i have tried every effort including blocking you but you seem determined to start a public argument with me on a forum...again not cool.

I'm a man of my word and said i wanted no contact with you.

Please respect my wishes.

Sending me multiple messages talking shit about my partner, then blocking me isn't what grown ups do.

Bye Felicia.

Create as many profiles as you like, same shitty spoon will be in all of them.

You read them in the sent thread as u don't need to open them in the inbox for them to mark as read as u have mentioned a point in your reply which means u read them. I don't care, I've deleted and blocked you as you got pathetic. Delete them all then or save them, who cares!!!

I've already received messages saying don't reply to you on this as u love the drama and a few other things said agreeing with your queen bee attitude.

Now i will not be replying again to you as i was not talking shit.....My partner and i attended many parties with Dirk so im unsure of your issue!

Good luck and i wish you both well as i wont sign off with something petty like you do.

No need for you to reply again as i will not be responding.

we had a holiday booked here in ireland. as it turns out the place is not going to be open until august so our holiday will be cancelled nor will we be rearranging to book it for when it does open. We might look at next year depending on circumstances

Public transport at the minute is fine and everyone is respecting social distancing - wear gloves and don’t touch your phone etc until you have disposed of the them afterwards.
