somewhere

God what a talented voice and such a troubled woman

Flew to london to see her in Wembley Arena in October 1985 on the strength of one song called "Saving all my love for you "

Its still my favorite Whitney song even though the cd of "The Bodyguard " was practically worn out in our house.

Last time I saw her live was in Dublin in 2010 when she played 3 gigs

She couldnt sing a note and she was wrecked God love her

But in between she gave us some incredible anthems

Any favourites?

East / North, Cork

An amazing talent.. unfortunately having the wrong people around you is so damaging and so hard to come back from.

The light that burns twice as bright, usually only burns for half as long. And Whitney Houston's light did burn so very brightly. She had an incredibly talent, but the fame and the money and the pressure to keep producing hit records, the drugs both recreational and prescription were her undoing.

Apparently Rock and pop stars have a ten times greater likelihood of a premature death than ordinary folk. During Fleetwood Mac's hay day, Stevie Nick's snorted her way through a mountain of cocaine, but she had the maturity to realise that if she continued to live the rock n roll lifestyle, she would die prematurely too. Same happened to Mick Jagger, he's a health fanatic nowadays..
