Don't think it's just fab, a lot of people are out for themselves and don't care who they hurt along the way. And I think with lockdown it's even more noticeable.

True! First time I downloaded fab I was put off by so many fakes and deleted it. A friend convinced to come back and hence here I am.

Just gotta out all the fakes, be up front and so on.

Fab Ireland is the most hit and miss community I've ever been a part of.

But for me it's worth putting up with the game players (mostly people who are looking to boost their self-esteem) to meet the genuine people I'm lucky enough to meet.

A lot of people on fab are pretending to be something or someone they aren’t and sometimes you see that right away and then at times you’ve to wait to see it. People should be honest and let those who like them have some genuine chemistry and that’s where the fun starts. They are some surprising people on here and I mean in a good way. Keep smiling op as them lying is only a reflection on them. X

Well said, lots of sheep but I think it's more like wolves hunt in packs. You'll find it's the same people harassing one person, hasn't changed since I joined. Drama seems to be needed for survival.

Some people just live for drama because it draws attention to them and they like to follow the principle of there being no such thing as bad publicity.

It's impossible to avoid especially at the moment where people have more time on their hands.

The forums used to be a place where people contributed to a thread that caught their eye and they had something constructive to say.

Now you'll find people commenting on threads just for the sake of having something to say without any real interest in the topic or just to get a reaction.

You don't have to be a sheep to see the wolves.

Oo what U have found in my time here is that my enjoyment of the site and certain elements of it ebbs and flows over time.

But I think it is always more to do with my own headspace at the time rather than the site changing.

For example if the forum isn't entertaining me or worse giving me negative vibes I just stay away from it for a few days.

I can read on thread on different days and either laugh it off or find it incredibly irritating depends on where I am at myself.

Soon short my advise is if fab is currently more effort than enjoyment just take a break

There has always been game players on here. Some seem to be on just to stir and cause agro. Best thing is to try and ignore them and concentrate on those who make your time on fab postive rather than negative. At the moment it seems worse than normal. But I'm hoping it will go back to being more craic.

This but the forums are bad partly because people don't take part. I've tried a variety of threads just to diversify the "kiss, shag" or "good morning" threads where it feels like a constantly loop of insanity. Im sure some people could bring a lot of interesting conversation to the Irish forum.

I'm relatively new to fab (on here a few months ) but I've been in contact with se genuinely lovely people. There are d few ass holes as well which I was naive enough to think were genuine but are obviously messers and quite vindictive. This surprised me as I thought fab was just an easygoing bit of craic when I joined. I think overall that the good people far outweigh the dick heads though.

No never drop your standards. No one should female or male. There are decent people on here. Don't let a few put you off fab.

And when it does get a bit much take a break for a bit it's what I do anyhow and it helps.
