Secret Spring Santa

Jump to newest

By *ungry Cat OP   Couple

Belfast

It's been a long month with a fair bit of struggle, emotions of all kinds and whole lot of balancing between boredom and uncertainty.

Fab has always had a strong social community with all its quirks and nuances.

Just because we all can't meet - doesn't mean we can't show each other that we care.

Let's do a Secret Spring Santa:

Let us know in this thread or privately if you would like to participate.

We will shuffle all usernames and give you a receiver.

Your job will be to put together a wee parcel (£10 max) for the person you got and send it out.

For safety and security reasons - only well verified and vetted people are allowed to participate.

Much love

M&D

I remember there was a secret Santa thread in December and I completely missed out on it.

Love participating in those kind of exchanges as it's quite exciting to put together as well as receive a present from someone you don't really know that well

Not a random unknown, unseen profile, joined 7 days ago with some dodgy verification from a mass verifying profile (we take notes) or some dodgy cam veri (there's different types of cam veris).

It doesn't matter how many people you've met.

"9 of us so far.

I'm stuck in two minds

1st mind is telling me to close it cause 9 is a good number but its not an even number so someone will be left out

2nd mind is telling me to leave it open for another few days just so everyone can see the thread (as I know some just come on at the weekend)

But really I'm happy to just go with your decision & back it 100%

You just picked what you chose to pick from what was said above.

But you are right in a way too. You've only been here mere 3 months and unfortunately half of that time has been during this lockdown crayziness.

It's not how and how many times you've been verified but by whom.

We'll be in chatrooms tomorrow evening. If you wish to pop in and say hello - most welcome to do so.

Get all involved to send you their name & address, then you can pass it on to the sender & that way the secret part is kept secret just a thought (although it's more work for yourself

Am i the only one who thinks this is crazy? You are basically giving your real name and address to a couple on fab, who then pass it on to another member - you have no idea who as it's a 'secret' in order to get a present worth a tenner! Buy yourself something or create an amazon wishlist. Also, i hope those personal details aren't being sent on fab, you have no idea who is monitoring them. There is constant issues on fab with people doing shit stuff on others. Verified means frig all on this place at times. I know not many have taken part, hopefully more sense but think it's a dangerous idea.

1. We normally organize social events (as you have probably already seen from our verifications) and have lots of people who have purchased the tickets. With every ticket purchase - we received personal data from every individual. There has never been and never will be any breaches of personal data from our side. We have our reputation to stand by and will continue to do so.

2. Every single participant is a mature consenting adult, who understands their risks.

3. To minimize ANY unwelcome surprises we took all precautions one of them all the participants being very well spread out far apart all around the country, other ones including precautions of not using a full name or even a changed name if needs be.

4. NOBODY has received anyone's details before sending their own.

You are right, by having your concerns, but... you are also wrong by judging something you don't have full information about. Fab isn't all about stalkers, creepers, pussy juice hunters and god awful stories. It's full of genuine, kind, caring and intelligent people, who are more than capable to act like adults.

Have some faith in people for god's sake.

I can understand a business that organises events and the use of personal information but you are just 2 people that met on fab and got together and set up a couples profile so it would be unclear how people's information is protected, on a piece of paper in your home or personal unencrypted emails?

Anyway, it was just my opinion that people were happy to risk their personal data for a tenner gift!!

I won't be commenting further as it's clear that it would only get immature back and forth responses. Had a look at the profiles taking part.

Ciao

No it isn't. you just like stirring shit.

We still remember your last post about meet and greets not having any security and not being organized well which got conveniently deleted. Please, if you dislike being on fab and dislike people on it and dislike how adults choose to protect themselves and others then just don't be on fab as save your shit stirring for facebook groups

Our intentions are always good. For us this is a lifestyle for us and it is unfortunate that some faceless keyboard warriors try to ruin it for the decent people on the site. We have got only good things to say about the people we have met and talked to on Fab and are glad to call many o them friends. Dirk
