Men who defend women's opinions on Fab

I noticed on the this forum every time a woman makes a post, there is a slew of sycophantic men who immediately agree with her. Or any guy like me who has the bare faced audacity to disagree with a woman's point of view, and all those needy misguided white knight's- can't resist jumping in to defend her honour.

Surely there must be lots of intelligent educated women on here who are tired of this shit, and are well capable of speaking for themselves? Or am I missing something here

There are many intelligent ladies on here who are more than capable of holding a debate on many issues just as there are many intelligent men.

Therefore there are many different thoughts and opinions but just because a man and woman may agree on something doesn't mean that he is being sycophantic.

There will always be men and to some extent women who will make a point of agreeing with a comment in the hope of getting that person's attention but it isn't always the case.

It's not about whether or not you agree or disagree, it's about how you express that.

Ok I will say Juan I rarely agree with what you say and today is no different,but I do find men who kiss Ass to certain women here very unattractive as they only do so to gain favour and on the other other hand I also find rude opinionated and condescending men equally unattractive. .

There are 2 separate issues here.. firstly that there are sycophantic men who agree with the women because they think it will help them get fucked. Secondly there are people here with odious ideas about women that many men (and women) find thoroughly unpleasant, and therefore they disagree with them.

There are guys on here who white Knight that is obvious. They hope by doing it they will get to meet whoever it is they are sucking up to.I personally don't find it attractive when I see it.

BUT just because people agree does not make them a white Knight.

It's just like the people who constantly make condensending comments on here. Those who think they are above reproach and can be as rude and as ignorant as they like that is equally unattractive. Especially when a lot of the things they say is complete rubbish. There is a lot of that happening on here recently and it's made the forums a worse place to be in. These people are just rude for the sake of it and I don't need anyone to white Knight for me I'm perfectly capable of standing up to these people and debating back if I can actually be bothered. But I'm old and wise enough now to realise you just can't change people's attitudes and I can't be bothered with that negatively. I prefer to be around people are decent and neither a white Knight anyone who is misogynistic. There is a happy medium. And that cuts both ways as well.

At the risk of being accused of agreeing with you DG, I know that to be the case as exactly that has happened to female friends of mine recently.

Dublin Girl I too have found myself in the same position as you a few times. I am very happy to say that I too am a woman who can stand up for herself and don't need to run behind the scenes in Pm to get anyone to fight my battles. X

The people on this forum are more than capable of defending themselves and don't need anyone to do it for them. If someone makes a point or statement that I agree with, I don't care if it's a man or woman, I might decide to give my thoughts as well. People like yourself might consider it white knighting, if it is a woman, rather than it being two people who have a similar opinion.

But yes, some guys go for the White Knight approach..

Personally I'm finding there to be more and more belittling comments and attitudes by men towards other men for reasons I can only speculate but it certainly makes me think twice before posting more nowadays

I dont think any posters on here need or want others to drfend them.

And of course there are guys that will jump to defend a ladies honour in the hopes it makes them look better, its cringy but harmless really.

What I find alot more insidious is people using phrases like whiteknight, snowflake or sheeple to shut down anyone who might disagree with their point of view.

A good chunk of the time if 99% of people disagree with you its not cause they are sheep and more to do with your own skewed view of the world

Same on all forum’s. Over the last two years especially with the metoo movements a certain court case and a referendum. You could not have a different opinion without some lads jumping to defend her when she is well able to speak for herself. However I wouldn’t stand idly by vans watch either male or female get abused online either if I thought they were feeling harassed.

I'm not a cynical misogynist, I know some really down to earth easy-going intelligent women who are some of my dearest friends. I just have more experience with women and understand female nature better than most poor guys.

I could write a book on how the vast majority of women use subtle manipulation tactics on men. Quite a lot of men spend their entire lives jumping through hoops to please women.

I learned at a young age, no matter how much you give a woman she will always want more, so I always fail shit tests on purpose

Couldn't this statement be seem as a form of white knighting, also? Yes these men exist but if you truely believed that women are smart enough to know what the deal is, you would also believe that they wouldn't need it pointing out. Therefore, pointing it out is either, trying to get their attention, the same as the men you mention or you don't believe the women know what's going on and you are patronising them? sorry, had to come out

"I noticed on the this forum every time a woman makes a post, there is a slew of sycophantic men who immediately agree with her. Or any guy like me who has the bare faced audacity to disagree with a woman's point of view, and all those needy misguided white knight's- can't resist jumping in to defend her honour.

Surely there must be lots of intelligent educated women on here who are tired of this shit, and are well capable of speaking for themselves? Or am I missing something here "

I personally think ,damned if you do..damned if you don't... You genuinely agree with her..you're kissing her ass...you defend her point against someone else ..you're white knighting...you " debate or discuss " her post...who do you think you are ?...like l said ..Damned if you do...damned if you don't..it's a game that you can never win in everyone's eyes

Couldn't this statement be seem as a form of white knighting, also? Yes these men exist but if you truely believed that women are smart enough to know what the deal is, you would also believe that they wouldn't need it pointing out. Therefore, pointing it out is either, trying to get their attention, the same as the men you mention or you don't believe the women know what's going on and you are patronising them? sorry, had to come out "

BUT just because people agree does not make them a white Knight.

It's just like the people who constantly make condensending comments on here. Those who think they are above reproach and can be as rude and as ignorant as they like that is equally unattractive. Especially when a lot of the things they say is complete rubbish. There is a lot of that happening on here recently and it's made the forums a worse place to be in. These people are just rude for the sake of it and I don't need anyone to white Knight for me I'm perfectly capable of standing up to these people and debating back if I can actually be bothered. But I'm old and wise enough now to realise you just can't change people's attitudes and I can't be bothered with that negatively. I prefer to be around people are decent and neither a white Knight anyone who is misogynistic. There is a happy medium. And that cuts both ways as well.

Agree to this statement too. Everytime I read your posts it makes me cringe the way you regard us ladies on here. I'm glad it's not just me reading them wrong
