Because they are against 5 g some link it to the virus, which is total nonsense others are afraid of the health affects associated with 5g

Level 5 lunacy conspiracy theory

.. and I'm partial to an aul CT

But this one is pure shite

... a ton of this type of shit is pushed by far right evangelical assholes from America and Russian state propaganda.. 5G, anti vax, flat earth etc

Used by quacks with some type of online platform with reach

Make a killing through click bait articles and ad revenue selling you shit like radiation blockers for your phone!! Ionized hoop suppositories to shield your chakra or some shiz

Ad man 101 create a perceived need and sell the solution

End result it filters into the general pop and my ma sends me links to 5G dangers and melts my brain for the day because my mad aunt is hooked deep and fills her with this scut

Me having to tell her not to be on the internet... ever

People are easily to manipulate especially when in a state of fear . I really do have to question the critical thinking skills of people who go so far down the rabbit hole of believeing such bollox.

It's not possible for a virus to be transmitted by radio frequency radiation. But living in close proximity to a mobile phone mast has been implicated with all manner of health issues.

I worked with 5G.

It is 62Times under the standard radiation limit. You're oven , Microwave and TV even emits more radiation.

A friend of mine used to laugh at me when I warned her not to stand close to the microwave oven while it was going. Until she got cancer. She recovered fortunately, but she no longer owns a microwave oven.

"I follow a lot of global news, especially USA stuff and the fact some of the things written here are actually believed depresses me.

I'm no conspiracy theorist, in my opinion a link between covid19 and 5g masts is utter shite, however i wouldnt take lightly the long term effects carrying a mobile phone can have on the human body, unknown territory, the following is from an article in america before 5g, and note that the frequency 5g works on is up to 10 times higher than 4g.

Government experts say cellphones, which emit radio frequency radiation, have not conclusively been linked to any health problem. But some critics point to studies they say raise concerns, including a preliminary report by the National Toxicology Program that rats exposed to cellphone radiation experienced a small but significant increase in heart and brain tumors. Critics also point to studies indicating that cellphone exposure may negatively affect sperm quality.

Given those considerations, we asked government spokespeople, an industry representative and a skeptical scientist what Americans should do if they want to reduce their exposure to cellphone radiation.

Here's what we found:

Follow the advice of the cellphone manufacturer. And no, you're probably not doing that. Cellphones are tested for radiation emission — and approved by the government as safe for use — at a small but significant distance from your body. You should be able to find that distance in the fine print of your manual or other instructions that come with your phone, and it differs from phone to phone. You're supposed to keep an iPhone 7 at least 5 mm (about 0.2 inches) away from your body, a Samsung Galaxy S6 at least 1.5 cm (about 0.6 inches) and a Google Pixel 1 cm (about 0.4 inches) away.

The takeaway: Don't keep your cellphone in your pocket or your bra when it's powered on.

If you want to go further, consider the suggestions of government scientists. You'll see small differences in the positions stated on the websites of various government agencies, with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) telling us, reassuringly that "the weight of scientific evidence has not linked cellphones with any health problems." The National Toxicology Program at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences agrees that there's no conclusive evidence linking cellphones to any health problems. But it also says that "little is known about potential health effects of long-term exposure to radio frequency radiation," the kind of radiation emitted by cellphones, and that data from human studies is inconsistent.

I’ve been in Co.Donegal a few times and the phone signal is terrible in most parts.

And then you hear about the idiots that set fire to a 4g tower in Donegal.

Talk about backwards.

Ok....can someone explain this.

Some people are spreading theories regarding the linking of 5G to the spread of Covid 19.

Covid 19 has now been recorded in 185 countries.

5G masts have been erected in 5 countries.

How could they be linked?

Dafties don't understand the physics behind 5G, quoting "30GHz" as being bad, and same as your domestic microwave oven.

However, that's the wave frequency! In fact, higher the frequency, the lesser the penetrance. Microwave is the opposite end of EM spectrum to xrays.

(Why doesn't the sun or radio waves fry your organs, yet xrays and gamma rays can)

The reason why your domestic oven cooks food is because it pumps out 700watts (ie. Amplitude), whereas your mobile phone will be pumping out 1watt.

To illustrate the point, it's the difference between a wave for surfing vs a gentle ripple in the ocean, with both waves traveling at the same speed and length.

5G will be fantastic.

These morons had the same attitude to 4G

It will be great for people who want to WFH in any part of Ireland and carry out business all over the world.

The addition of 5G will also take contention (users) off 4G freeing up bandwidth in 4G and increasing performance.

The same eejits who are giving out about 5G are the same eejits who do the complaining on social media....but they would not get the irony/hypocrisy in this.

It's all just unverified theories they hear someone else spout, then spout it on to others themselves.

Visible light apparently comes in at a range of around 430THz to 770THz.

That's more than a thousand times higher than the maximum microwave – and 100,000 higher than 5G.

If you're worried about 5g you should probably turn off all your lights, TV, etc.

Having said that, I've been told I've never turned on a TV myself.
