on the hill NordWest of

Early in the morning, very few peeps and fresh bread but can't buy a vino or a beer.

Afternoon way more people but you get everything.

Late evening, few people but no fresh bread and less veggies.

I'd make my own bread but some knobheads bought up all the flour and yeast.

It's crazy, so you might end up going twice which completely defeats the purpose.

What's your strategy?

So not easy done in bigger towns and cities.get veg from local veg shop and meat from butchers. Some of these also have locally baked breads.think local and small shops support them now more than ever.

Box or slab of beer at the weekend lasts all week then its just fresh bread and milk in the morning

Also pointless as a lot of the main supermarkets here are allocating times early for NHS and then the vulnerable before 11

Fair point, even the elderly might like a glass of wine now and then, and the hard workers deserve one on a day off.

My local shop allows you to ring in an order and you really can get everything this way . Its a smaller supermarket so I guess its easier to manage

Only shopping once a week with reconnaissance run to the offie when there’s no queue!! Working perfectly so far for us hope everyone is managing ok x

Why don't they last long are you abusing them vegetables for your own good

I buy from local butcher, veg guy bakery and fishmonger. A little more expensive but safer than large supermarkets. Stay safe everyone.

Ventured out after 9pm to go to lidl. They changed the opening hours. They close now at 9pm.

I still see that every evening people showing up to the aldi here past its closed time all ready to go in trolley in hand then to come to the door and it don't open even knocking it to see if they will be left quite amusing tbh lol

Our local supermarkets are doing home delivery including alcohol and fresh bread. Its a godsend to those who are ìn isolation or quarentine.

Simple answer what I do my local Spar opens at 6 so at around 7 I go get milk bread etc so I have the basic.

Then I drop them home and then walk up to lidl for around 8 a small line. And buy a few things if I need and home for 8.45 and if I need to my butcher shop opens at 9 a quick drive round and normally finish by around 10 if I call into Iceland where I park the car beside.

Or if I drop into the Spar garage I can get Nearly every thing. But it's a bit hit and miss for a few things.

I live beside two Tesco two Lidls a few Spar And m&s are 5 minute drive. Oh the there is 3 Iceland and other shops. Joy's of living in my part of Belfast

South Side.

I live 20km from the nearest shop, but I have lots of food in the house. I've only left the house twice in the past 24 days, and am very content. All the booze is gone, except a bottle of Proseco, which talks to me every evening from the fridge. I think I've lost weight, as I'm going for long walks in the bog every day, nobody about. I think this will go on for quite a bit, but for now I'm very happy. At least the weather I'd dry and sunny.

Plenty of flour in lidl this morning DH

Found some flour and even yeast yesterday in Tesco. Now I can make my country's traditional Sunday bread for the weekend.
