Hey Joe.

I play guitar, piano, bass, saxophone and drums - to varying degrees of competence and enthusiastically rather than skillfully, to be honest. I’d love to learn to play trumpet too. That’s not a euphemism!

Yeah clarinet was my gateway to sax.

Just jib the clarinet and get on with the sax would be my advice. It sounds better, looks cooler and is loads more fun to play

It's not just you, I do the same so play a classical style instead

again I'm still learning.

If you've got the guitar tuna app, it had a chord game on it, it's timed & doesn't change chord til you get it right, becomes a game to beat your last record

My great uncle was Sir Malcolm Sargeant, he started and conducted the promes

My male cousin is a famous opera singer, lives in New York now and my late brother was the drummer with the marauders ( in the 60s) and with Freddie and the dreamers for a while
