Hi my names Alex

Iv been on here a little while now and I just don’t seem to be having any luck.

I starting to actually doubt weather I’m good looking enough or even normal enough to talk too.

I do feel like a normal guy but what am I doing wrong?

People will look at your profile and pictures. If you do a forum search there is plenty of advice on how to give yourself the best chance at being successful.

You can only be you and there is nothing wrong with your profile but then so are thousands of other similar ones. It can take time to meet people and 6 months isn't that long but if you don't feel its for you take a break and come back to it later is another option.

Well thats complete rubbish! Most women I know look at profiles often like me before reading the message sent and if its the profile of a lazy man with sparse detail I just delete.

Profiles count thats a fact!

OP in my opinion your profile is no better or worse than mine and I've been lucky to meet a few amazing ladies. People will offer you all kinds of advice which goes to show that everyone has an opinion. Stick at it. You never know.

Ignore this type of reply, plenty of really handsome guys on here struggle and start the same type of threads.

It's partly true that if you're not bad looking, it'll get the lady or couple interested in you, however the profile sells you to them. Use this site as a base to get yourself known to others on here, post in the forums, look at going to socials or a club and build an overall picture of yourself to others. The successful guys on here, who do get meets, spent a long time working out how to appeal to their perspective meets and that requires a decent profile as well as knowhow.

Thanks everybody for the advice it’s all been noted and the profile is under reconstruction. I will stick too it and hopefully I get to meet some lovely people and make some good friends out of it.

I don't agree with this.

Patience. A bit of effort. Not getting despondent when someone says no or deletes a message. Being respectful. Fact is, people are picky, and so they should be. You only need to meet a few people you click with and you can have a wonderful time on fab. If however expectations are this site is an easy way to get a quick shag, then people will be disappointed.

Some suggest events and clubs, but that's not my thing, even though I know it would get me more meets. So I have just learned to be more patient. And it works both ways. I'd rather meet people that tick most of my boxes, so when it does happen it's a lot more fun.

Disappointment will all be dependent on what you want from the site and your expectations of it. If they don't match, then maybe looking elsewhere is the best option.

To the OP, fab isn't for everyone, but people do normally read profiles before deciding whether to message back. Does yours stand out from a lot of them in your area? Do you have good, clear pics? There's lots of existing threads with some very good advice on them, maybe take the time to look them up. There's also advice on my profile. Good luck with whatever you choose to do. X

The only thing that's stopping me getting a meet is no veris!

Just because a few couples said it, it doesn’t make it true. Loads of us meet unverified people. You could just attend a social event and get verified of course.

I take time to read people's profiles. Get to know them then take it from there.
