What would make this bloke more attractive?

Hi everybody.

My profile is, I think, pretty bland, and even I'm not that impressed by the guy I come across as

If anyone's got the time, I'd be keen to hear how you'd go about giving Mr. Dull a makeover.

I know there's a showstopper in there for many, but I feel it should be said up-front, and I'd obviously never even approach anyone who explicitly says they'll not meet married men.

Looking forward to your comments, with my hands over my eyes!

Thanks very much,

D.

Talk more about who you are than who you aren't. Definitely smile: wrinkles are much more attractive than unfriendly.

You look pretty cross or just grumpy in all your pics I’m afraid.

I think a warm smile is always a winner.

This is probably why the only pic that ever gets fab'd is the one without a head! Off to have words with Mr Grumpy now. Thanks!

A person has to express themselves on their profile getting someone else to do it would be their profile not yours.

If you know its bad then start from scratch again and put you into it.

Thanks. I know what you mean; it's trying to get brazen me to write it and not the apologetic alter-ego who stands in the corner looking at his shoes

Thanks. Smiling's definitely a thing! And I need to find a photographer with a *far* better eye than I have! These, after all, are the pics that *did* make it through my quality control

Are you conscious about your smile? Missing teeth or?

Wrinkles are a badge of honour, show them off!

You're absolutely right. Loved your profile - so much confidence - that's what I need to work towards

Cheers! I've *really* got to work on the smile haven't I? No more smouldering/miseryguts

It's hidden but truthful honesty is a great way to help others determine if you may be for them.

Good range of pics, preferably taken by others when you're relaxing, if it includes your face.

Ultimately, you have to sell yourself, in a way that you find your unique points and perspective. Consider what you have and what you're after, so others get to understand this and aren't left confused or find someone else who sells themselves better, instead of you.

Expect that as a single male it takes a lot of effort and dedication, especially when it seems like there's little or nothing in return.

Keep your profile updated - experiment with it, to see if someting works better than before etc

That all sounds like top advice. Thanks for taking the time, and sorry I'd gone into hiding

Your trying to hard in the photos. Look very conscious of the camera. If you don’t like doing smiley you can still do a more approachable one with lips up in the corners. You just need to be more relaxed. This is not the right time to be stiff

Agree with the comments about smiling.

And a couple of pics look like staff ID badge poses...
