In all seriousness, this isn't a look at me please I want attention thread.

I'd like a little help please.

What I'd like to know is, if you were local-ish to me and I popped up in your local updates or searches. Would you message me? Or think about it?

I use the forum a bit and I like my profile, but I'm happy to take on constructive advice to make it more interesting for people nearer to me, who don't read what I write on the Forum.

Photos? Text? Vibe?

I don't feel as if I get anywhere near the friendly attention I get locally, as I do here. If I could do both, I'd die a happy man indeed.

I can advise someone to join the Forum, be themselves, not make their cock shot a profile picture. How to send a decent message that'll get a reply.

This is specific advice, on whether someone would message me FIRST. NOT how to get meets. I don't struggle with that if I'm honest.

I don't think many women make the first move on here. I hardly ever do, but saying that, it was me who messaged my 'weekend husband' first. I liked his profile, and he intrigued me by his forum posts, where he was showing his intelligence, as well as sense of humour. Things almost didn't go anywhere as a day or two later I broke my knee, badly, and ended up in hospital. Even told him to just forget about me and move on, maybe get in touch after some months, but he stayed by my side, continued chatting and supporting me through my ordeal, which finally earned him the right to meet me, when I was ready. And we've been spending almost every single weekend together since.

Moral from this story - don't give up, keep active on forums and you never know, one day you'd get lucky.

Thankyou, I'd agree with you. Women tend not to make the first move. However, I kind of lurve those who do. That only happens to me on the Forum, usually. Was just wondering how i make my profile reflect my Forum personality.

I get the height and smoking thing. Both fair reasons, I can see why some women prefer taller men. I should stop, smoking. My cold turkey didn't last long I'm ashamed to say.. but I'm cutting down, with a view to quitting.

Say then if you don't go to clubs you could put that, you don't have to put it in the negative sense, you could for example. "I travel, accommodate or can n a hotel."

No I didn't. I'm glad you've posted that, I'm glad others have said they'd message on friendly terms. For me, this place isn't purely a sex site. I enjoy meeting or talking to new folk. So an invite for a pint is something I'd definitely consider, if approached in the right way
