Hi thought I would put a post in here seeing as I am 2 weeks in to joining the site - also I am waiting for my delayed train on the way home from a hen weekend still full of cold - so may pass my time!) I am just finding my feet with the site and the things I have noticed as a newbie to fab are:

1. Why do people not read profiles properly grrr I am not looking to message/meet/fuck in one hour

2. Do other single females get horrible messages if you don't reply, intact even reply saying thanks for the message but not interested?!

3. On the upside have been lucky enough to hear from one or two genuine people that I can't wait to meet!!

I hope you enjoy the site and just ignore the idiots that can make it very frustrating sometimes.

Its your choice who you reply too and you don't have to sned 'no thanks' messages as it just opens up the conversation for more .....

I'm afraid the less scrupulous men will use any response, even a 'no', as an invitation to chat and pester you to change your mind. Just ignore and block and move on to the nice people.

Politeness is a wonderful quality that seems harder to find in everyday life, so your intentions were/are admirable. Personally if I get a 'no thanks' or a 'not for me' I thank them and wish them luck. I'd I get no response, I move on, I can't be everyone's cup of tea after all. I'd much rather people were selective, it's so much more of a compliment if contact continues

I say stick with messaging back all even with a no thank you - lots will come back with no problem, any that come back with a nasty one just block.

Take it for what it is all good fun and always always on your terms - looking at your pic I'm sure you will have no problem getting those gorgeous men to play nicely.

+1 I've never had an abusive message after I've sent a thanks but no thanks, more often than not get a polite "thanks for bothering to reply" and that's the end of the conversation....if I did get a twonk sending an abusive message, well I'm thick skinned and not at all bovvered about the size of my block list - hope you have a fan-bloody-tastic time on here, I know I do xxx

That could be a location factor. As you are in south lakes you probably don't get the message amount you get in London area. I don't mean that in a bad way it's just that there are more people in London on here.. Or I have just been unfortunate x

Take any abusive messages with a pinch of salt - when out in town will meet some gems and some you swerve very quickly. Same on here. I have met some guys on here who I am pleased to call friends now (and not all I've played with !!)

Doesn't matter what you write in your profile a minority simply will not read it and message you even if they are not what you are looking for and state it clearly.At the end of the day though all good fun

Dunno really, there are more people in London full stop. I don't get hundreds of messages, but I do filter out newbies and non-verified, also any that don't read my profile get instantly blocked (first para requests a face pic and a joke), and there's a lot of horny feckers in the north

i agree a simple no thanks is enough for me to move on.

to be honest i agree that it shouldnt be a quicky.

i prefer it to be a regular thing but at the same time i have noticed that a lot of people treat this site like a dating site.

hope you stopped getting horrible mail tho as that aint right.x

You will get more messages from people you have no chance of meeting, simply because there's more successful swinging that goes on in the north and midlands than in the south, London in particular, as has been discussed and generally agreed upon in previous threads. People are generally more friendly and open to strangers in the north which lends itself well to swinging.

Plus there's the transport problem. A lot of folk in London spend two hours or so travelling each way to work therefore can be forgiven for being knackered a lot of the time! Also if an hour or two is the furthest reasonable travelling distance for a meet it tends to limit drivers to within a 20 mile radius, covering maybe 3 or 4 million. With the north that practically opens up the entire north of the country, so the figure is much higher?

All the same London folk still do meet up regularly so I wouldn't let that put you off too much. And wherever you live, you will still get mail from bell-ends, no one region has the patent on them...
