New to the site & swinging so if we're asking stupid questions we apologise in advance Is it customary to reply to messages even if it's just a polite "thanks but no thanks"? We have (almost) replied to everyone but not sure if that's the done thing. We'd feel really rude if we just ignored someone. We're also not sure what a wink means? Told you we'd be asking stupid questions! Not sure if it's a meaning nice pics/profile or an invitation to contact people if we're interested? Sorry if we sound really naive but when it comes to this we are!

Fab faq section stars no reply means no interest, its not considered rude OP. Its entirely up to each individual who they reply to of course. Enjoy fab x

It's only a stupid question if you know the answer . Some do reply to all the messages some don't it's what you feel is right . And if you wink at someone's profile it will appear on the wink folder on there home screen . Some use it some don't I use it as a very polite hello I'm interested in you .

We initially tried to reply to all messages, even if just a "no thanks", like yourselves. But it can become very tedious and time consuming, and as an earlier poster advised the fab faq's state to take a no reply/delete as a no thanks.

We've had to resort to just deleting now when not interested

Sorry, back again with another silly question! Difference between a meet & a social? The impression we get is a meet is a one to one meeting with another party & a social is a group gathering? Please feel free to correct us. New to all this terminology & don't want to end up upsetting or offending anyone or agreeing to stuff when we don't really know what we're agreeing to!

Social would be non-sexual unless you want to do anything else. My socials are generally a cuppa.

Socials can be a group or one on one. Meet & greet is a social too.

.

A social can be a few things really, you can have a social event where quite a few people go, to network and meet old friends and new people, or you can have a social meet which is usually one on one or more if you play as a couple. A lot of people will insist on a social meet in a public place for safety reasons and to see if the person fits what they are looking for, before they would consider a play meet.

We also reply to all messages, unless it is a "hey you look great" one line message, as we think it is rude not to especially when people have taken time to send it to you (we also know what fabs faq's say and you don't have to follow them).

The best way to stop unwanted messages is to use the filters to cut down on the ones from people you don't want (e.g single men), this brings the quantity down to acceptable levels for a couple (single women may say different lol).

Have fun on the site and don't get out off by naysayers, the rude and the fakes that will obviously exist in any of the swinging sites, this one is the best we have found in over ten years of swinging

If you want to avoid being annoying and possibly getting hassled for a response of some kind (which no reply can lead to) just delete the messages you don’t want to follow up on. The sender will see that it has been deleted and will know you’re not interested. Say in your profile that a delete = no interest and report those who abuse this.

Simples.

If the people are local and meet our profile, but there is some reason why we don't wish to meet we will reply. However, we have learnt that not replying and deleting the message is generally enough.

If people message you and you reply they will permanently be able to circumvent any filters you apply.
