Seeing as I'm one of the older guys on here, though I'm far from being past it. I was wondering how come people have such a hang up with age. I thought swinging was all about being open minded, sure, not everyone wants to have sex with older people but some folks dismiss the thought entirely. I guess it's very similar to a person's size, as very large people (and I don't mean to sound rude) don't do it for me.

Preference pure and simple. Focus on the people who do want to meet you and don't worry about the rest. Arguing that you're not past it is pointless.

Age is just one of many preferences. You have stated an age range on your own profile OP so you obviously have age preferences too

I'll also say, swinging for me is about mutual enjoyment, not about lowering my standards or my boundaries. Open mindedness is all well and good, but not when it means "you have to fuck me/ do X because open minded". My body, my choice, end of discussion.

Everybody have some kind of preferences, like you said you are not attracted to larger people and age is no different to that. S (fem) is 25 her parents are 40s, for whatever reason she feels uncomfortable with being with someone who could be her parent, much the same as parents on here who have said they wouldnt go with someone the same age as their kids..

Why do you only meet ages 25-80 then OP? That's a hang up with over 80s and under 25s surely?!

It really isn't...it's an indication of much more to me...

plus, out of all the people claiming to be 57, we've found the majority are far older...

We could leave our age preferences at the default but would we really meet somebody in their 90s? We like to get to know those who we play with so similarly would we have anything in common with somebody aged 20?

We all have preferences.

I'm not claiming to be 57. My age is what I stated on my profile ie 67 an don't have a problem with it. I also have lots of younger ladie who like my age an meet up with often.

It's not. One 52 year old who contacted me looked all of 70 from his pic.

When they lie they do themselves such a disservice. I meet most ages, but my expectations on appearance are driven by the stated age. If a 55 year old (hypothetically) sends me a picture that makes him look 70, that's a non starter. Ditto a 35 year old who looks 55.

If you’re a man over 50... you have had 30 years of having sex... if people didn’t exclude you , how would the younger guys get any sex on here?

Setting a personal age limit can be a vague exercise. There could be a guy over 50 who's more youthful in demeanor and appearance than a guy in his 30s. However...

At least for me, I set the highest age to a number I know I'm still generally comfortable with and have met people of that age countless times before. Any higher and I'd probably be kidding myself so I figure it saves time for both parties.

I’m 33 and love older guys ... probably wouldn’t go any higher than 60 and any lower than 30, it’s just personal preference

But if being open minded means you shouldn’t have any preferences, why don’t you want to sleep with very large people?

To me you’ve answered your own question. My upper age limit is set to 45... I’m not being rude. It’s a preference.

Taking your good self as an example... if your profile age is true you are 24 years older than me. That’s old enough to be in the parent age bracket. And that just doesn’t do it for me - just like those who decline people who are significantly younger because they are a similar age to their children.

Age is only a number, I’m outside a lot of people’s age range but I don’t look it. I’ve found at clubs it doesn’t matter. If you click you click. On here yes your just a number, it’s a shame but like people have said if they look at your profile and like you they will say hi or drop you a wink.

Clubs are the best way to meet people.

We have a set age range on here although on the odd occasion we have met people outside of it so not a hard rule. The starting age isn’t set to young to avoid time wasters (usually the younger ones, sorry if offends), some probably wouldn’t want to meet people 20 years older anyway and the ending age is set to what it is as we are generally attracted to people our own age & younger can’t help who you are attracted to at the end of the day. Can’t get my head around people who set the age 18 to 99 Also it cuts down on messages if you have an age range set.
