"I’ve got sleeping tablets but there not helping any way going to bed " I've barely slept in about 8 weeks. This week is the first week I've slept a little better. I lost my dad than 5 days later or so my soul mate and best friend due to actions not of my doing. So I walked away. I keep myself busy. Thankfully I am moving house so busy is all I have right now... when I'm not busy I try not to think about all the good times as that makes me miss him more. I try not to think of the bad things as that makes me cross and hurt more. So I try to just think to the future. You can not change how others behave. You can not change how things go but you can plan for thr future. Doesn't have to be big things. I've recently made big changes to my life. Joined a totally new gym and making new friends there. Been out lots with friends and luckily for me I'm away on my first ever solo holiday in a few weeks. Sometimes just going for a walk helps me. I also wrote myself a letter as if my issues were a friends. I advised what I would tell a friend in my situation... And remind myself why I walked away from the love of my life. Yes some times I find myself in tears or feeling the total loss. But it's normal after you lose someone special. I keep taking one day at a time. And only looking forward. Thankfully on my bad days I have amazing friends who pick me up and remind me who I am. Good luck op | |||

My Ex decided to end our 11 year marriage this week a year ago..tbh it's still very raw and you'll go through the symptoms of anger, regret, happiness, sadness and everything else. I'd love to tell you a quick fix but unfortunately there isn't one. Find a close friend that you can confide in, cry I'd you have too..but the pain will ease a little bit..times a great healer. We are often our own worst enemy. Another good idea is to write a letter to the other party. Saying all you wish you could say or in hindsight should have said. Then burn it. It's good for mentally closing the door between what was and what we though there was. | |||
