Yet again I have to say age isn't the issue.

There are plenty of people who do meet older, you are within my age preferences. I wouldn't message you though because I don't see anything of interest when I look at you.

Perhaps it is time to consider what you are doing wrong because plenty of guys your age do very well on fab.

We’ve found it’s younger couples that get less meets than the more mature as the younger couples at times like the idea of swinging but don’t go through with it, us oldies see it for what it is, just fun, a hobby xx

There has to be physical attraction for me to want to sleep with someone, I'm not on here to date. That said, I do have to make a bit of a connection to take it further but call me shallow, I cannot get physical with someone I'm not attracted to and I doubt very much I'm alone on that one.

Soul destroying would suggest that you place value on whether strangers on a web site want to know you.

Are they shallow? Probably but if there's a lot of genuine, fun guys messaging them, how do they spare the time to take forward every conversation.

You have many aspects that make up you, your online profile here is just one piece. If it's a big piece then maybe reduce it my going to clubs. Alternatively separate your needs into friendship and sex and satisfy them separately.

Sorry, but I disagree with you completely. I seem to, by general conscensous from others I've chatted to, do exceptionally well on here. I am what I consider an "ordinary" man. I'm 40, have a daughter and a mortgage, (though at least I've paid the majority off ha!) I drive a Seat. I have few attributes I was born with that set me apart from other men.

Physically I'm slightly taller, but I was a painfully skinny kid growing up, in fact till my mid 20s. Granted I'm in pretty good shape for my age, but that is due to my job being one of the most physically challenging a man can do. My first week doing it killed me, despite being in decent nick already, but I persevered, reasoning that my body would learn to take it, and it did. Prior to doing that I worked out 6 hours a week in my home gym and topped that up with cardio. Now I have no need to, but the option is there even for those who sit behind a desk 50 hours a week.

This "big dick to succeed" rubbish that I've also heard on here is also a myth. I'm girthier than average, but not much different in the length department.

The only thing that perhaps sets me aside from most men that I was actually lucky enough to be born with is my IQ. And this trait is not normally one considered to be the preserve of an "adonis", far from it.

Everything else that may be deemed to stand me an advantage with women, my ability to write, my ability to converse with them, even to little things like my technique with a camera and how to spot a good pic is down to my putting effort in and learning it?

I understand women and their fundamental mental differences from men enormously, but that is down to my being fascinated both by them and by the human mind and it's many intricacies and foibles so I've taken years studying them and their physical qualities and responses too.

So I'll be damned in a decade and a half's time that I'm going to suddenly declare "That's it, I'm 50-something, may as well declare myself a sex-free zone!" Why the hell would I? Everything is achieveable if you pay attention and put in the right effort, including a plentiful, rich and rewarding sex life, complete with many friendships.

I often see people (and it's mainly men) on here blaming all sorts of things (age, the ratio of men to women etc) for their "failure" to get meets - the one thing they all seem to fail to think or even consider is at fault is themselves.

Yes there are no guarantees of meets for anyone, and for some it will be harder than others, but with the right attitude and approach to the site coupled with a well written profile and decent pics the chances of enjoying the site are improved by a huge amount.

Look at and approach things negatively and they'll probably turn out that way - try and blame other factors and the result will be the same. Take a positive approach and set your expectations correctly and if you're not getting anywhere take steps to change the things you can control (like your profile and pics) and it might not guarantee anything but it will make your experience of the site better

I'm 60 & having been on here this time for a year only had two meets (not through lack of trying on my part) I'm orally bi & have had offers from other bi men,but I only play with men as part of a mmf meet. But ever the optomist I'm still here hopeing my luck will change.

Also a lot of it is down to peoples profiles,I look at a lot of profiles and find so many with pics from 2011/2014 ?????? We can all change so much in those years,plz peeps keep those profiles up to date??

The oldest member of our club is Dungeon man Bob and he is definitely the most popular man with every age group

I tend to prefer older, and my sex life is better now than in my twenties, I know what I like, and tend to know what others like, also far less concerned with what others think of me less inhibitions, (not that I had many to start with) mature folk seem more willing to experiment and less pushy as well, these are of course generalisations.

It is harder for me now I'm older on here, because so many set their age limit lower, but that's up to them, I always smile when these same people complain about reliability, then exclud over 40's or 50's, the most reliable of them all!

Neither of us worry too much about how old our play partners are (younger or or older) as long as there's an attraction -age difference can sometimes add to the dynamic!

But hey there are plenty of fifty something's on here who are saucy / sassy / sexy to play with.

We hope we'll still feel the same when we get to our 60's, 70's and who knows 80's.

I’ve had the most issues with guys in that age range, so in my experience they aren’t the most reliable at all.

Age doesn’t determine reliability.
