Hey everyone.

I'm J, a single guy from Preston looking for like minded laid back couples and single females, and thought I'd post on here to introduce myself and start getting to know some other members.

First of, I want to say a friendly hello to everyone on the forums - I've only just stumbled across them and to be honest I'm glad I did - it's good to see a pretty welcoming, laid back community, especially compared to some other websites out there. I'm looking forward to chatting with you all and joining in with the debate.

Secondly, I'm kinda new to the scene and would appreciate some profile feedback or other general advice for beginners please! Be brutally honest - I'd much rather someone point out any flaws I have than ploughing on not knowing with limited success. I know I don't have a face picture on my profile itself (the usual I have a job/rather be discreet etc) but am sending them out with messages as I'm aware that's a requirement for most people, which I'm comfortable to do.

It’s a very generic profile, it’s about what you want not what you can offer op. IMOH your age will go against you regardless but you can’t do much about that. You say you send out face pic with message, good call but you also have one on your profile despite saying you don’t, albeit with glasses on you’re still recognisable. There are hundreds of threads giving profile advice, take a look through them op

), as why would another lady want to see what you’ve done previously and especially since you don’t appear to be wearing a condom.

Be a bit more creative in your pics....try and stand out from the crowd. Single guys are 10 a penny, so you need something different to stand out.

You seem to be able to articulate your words well, but you are generally saying the same thing throughout. Tell people what you can do for them, either in words or pics.

Your profile is your shop window....sell yourself.

Thanks for the advice both; it's much appreciated - I've lost the pictures you suggested and will have a play around with my profile text later and try and make it more about what I can offer people than what I want.

Still reads a bit ‘nice’. Your interests are about being in control but you come across as being a bit shy about it...choose a path and take it.

Oh and first pic has a toilet in it! Crop is your friend!

If you have a timer on your phone, you can take great ‘arty’ pics...

Having come on this thread after you have updated your profile, I still agree with the above it is very generic.

What can you OFFER a woman, but will say as said before your age will go against you and also that you cannot accommodate.
